The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 2251

Thanks for the input. Now to do the measuring. It's a little small for me so trying to figure out what to do with it. I guess I should say that it is available.

Is the Howard Henry's 200 the fabric?

p.s. I am going to work on posting what I find in my corner of the world and be a better member of this community, not just a lurker..

Been out a little. Just kind of lurking the stores. I passed on these two.
Pringle was nice been sitting new in closet I'm guessing for 20 years not a single hole in it. Polo was OK but I left it. I did get three suits I'll share in a bit they'll all be available for trade.

I did thrift this after two years of saving small portions of PayPal money every month. Took me awhile to find the one. This one came out of Fort Lauderdale.

Nice! Q7? My neighbor just got one of these last fall. They are dang quick for being a bigger SUV. Blew the doors off my land yacht.

Again, thanks for your time and thoughts.

N.1 Savile Row, the famous address for Gieves & Hawkes is actually a relatively new crafting house, as far as the history of the street itself is concerned. Hawkes Co. owned No.1 Savile Row until the 70's, when it was purchased by Gieves Ltd, and they joined forces and names in the merger, forming Gieves and Hawkes. Prior Gieves Ltd and Hawkes Co. were two separate crafting houses, both operating at different addresses with no relation to each other, for a couple hundred years prior. Gieves & Hawkes, although only formed in the 70s is extremely famous because both of the names brought an extremely respectable lineage of clients as well as history of garments tailored. So when you think Savile Row you think Gieves & Hawkes, however Gieves & Hawkes hasn't really done shit except license their fucking name to shitty middle tier American suit manufacturers, produce an in house RTW line, and I guess occassionally still make bespoke here and there, but actually the only reason it's such a legendary monument is solely due to what each of the names was able to accomplish on their own, far before buying the other and becoming one. Gieves Ltd. is historical Savile Row Bespoke Tailoring as is Hawkes & Co....Gieves & Hawkes is mass produced, licensed garbage....yet they all threw a fit when Hilfigier wanted to move onto the row.....I see no difference.....

Regardless........... P FUCKING M FUCKING NOW.
