Bit o' Ralph & Buddy.

Best place to send a Barbour for waxing and repair? On the older side (~25), ridden hard and put away wet with lots of minor repairs needed (holes in shell and lining, crushed snaps, ripped seams, missing cuff, toothless zipper, ect.), but I absolutely want it repaired and not replaced. Ideally I'd like the sleeves extended a couple inches too. Is it still best to send direct to Barbour? Or should I go visit the Orvis store in Atlanta? Someplace else?

Guys can someone give me an education?

Found these RL Jeans today. All legit I'm certain but have no idea of whether they are mens or women's and where they fit in terms of the hierarchy of quality. Tagged as an 'Elena trouser Jean' and are 30/32. Relaxed fit. Thanks.

Edit: actually, now I've got them home they are DEFINITELY wimmenz. Never mind. Should flip ok right?

For the sleeve extension you're probably stuck dealing with Barbour direct. I've also used these guys for reproofing and repair with good results.

It's not easy thrifting in the Twin Cities anymore. I can't imagine how many thrifters are even here on this forum
and in the stores too. Good stuff gets picked up within minutes where it use to last days. When you find something
great, Goodwill and other stores price it way up. Sorry for the rant, it's tough out there y'all!

If I was just rewaxing the coat and didn't want to do it myself I'd definitely use NER, but this goes well beyond simple reproofing. The main zipper is probably going to need to be replaced along with a couple of the snaps, there's about a dozen small holes, some on existing patches or along seams, the cuffs are probably going to need to be replaced again, and I'm not sure whether the liner needs to be repaired or entirely replaced. Orvis offers official repairs directly through Barbour and I can visit an Orvis Store on Monday. I could also send it directly to Barbour myself, but that has the disadvantage of not being able to interact with someone in person. I'm worried about the potential for misunderstanding if I have to handle everything over the phone or email. Has anyone had experience with either option or with a third-party repair service that they'd care to share?

Here are the two stealth Brionis. Both size 42 and available. Would trade for something awesome in a 38 icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I'm not sure about those. Never seen Brionis with that black neck tag. Every one I've ever seen has the Made in Italy in blue script on a white tag a couple inches lower down on the lining.

yea I haven't either. That's one of the things, aside from them not saying Brioni at all that is throwing me off. People that have responded seem pretty confident they're Brioni though..?

@TheODGuy

I want either of those. Drool!!!

Except that surfers are generally more respectful of their superiors in the lineup...
