Could be. I was basing it off of looks alone. Hard to differentiate from that angle without feeling it myself lol

Lots of run-of-the-mill companies used shell cordovan at one time. Prime example from earlier this week:

Wow, all those examples of quality from companies that now make pure crap.  Should have suspected though, I wore a nice pr of Thom McAn longwings for a while before I replaced them with Church's.  They were completely passable.

A bit of a different experience today. I went to a country town noted for antiques, hunting through antiques warehouses for vintage perfume. While I was there, I happened to find these, pretty much at op shop prices.(I did quite well on the perfume front too, but probably OT for this thread).

Chester Barrie SC. Lovely coat, but one of the sleeve buttons is broken, so I'll probably have to go by some vintage buttons somewhere.

E Marinella tie

Santostefano / Italo Ferretti tie

Not necessarily, I used to own a pair of Towncraft/JCP shell longwings.

You can actually edit your original post instead of creating a new one.

EDIT: Use the pencil in the bottom left of your post when on desktop or middle on mobile :teach:

Happy Easter! (yesterday).

Did anyone else bust out their seersucker?  I think Easter is the unofficial opening day of Seersucker.   I decided not to go head to toe and stuck with Seersucker Sportcoat, white shirt BB pindot tie, British tan khakis, light tan loafers.   There were a few others at Church that agreed with me.  One guy did the whole suit, white shirt, pink tie, surcingle belt, and white bucks.  I admired his guts.  Its a church were most people wear jeans.

I didn't do a thrift fit pic although everything I was wearing was thrifted except the Seersucker SC that was a gift.

It was also my son's, Henry, Birthday.    I was trying to find something a little more dressy for him to wear.  We found a vintage suit in roughly his size that I had thrifted at an estate sale last year.   It was a little big on him and the pants were too long. But, when he saw it, he insisted on wearing the Suit Coat.  When you are 5 years old, you can get away with this:
