Even if the owner was found, he probably gets a hefty reward. Plus, from a practical standpoint, what is he going to do with an 8 carat diamond? He can't exactly roll into Kay Jewelers to see how much they would give him for it.

Reminds me of the time I was at the jewelers getting my wife's ring sized, and some guy rolls in with a giant hunk of uncut gemstone (forget what it was) he said he found in an attic and he had estimated at over a million. Jewelers were kind of perplexed and said they really didn't deal in that stuff and he needed to go to an auction house. No idea if it was real or not but it seemed sketchy as hell.

Feel like any legit jeweler is going to want proof of ownership so they don't get burned.

I don't think I've even seen that jacket. What season? My most recent thrifted one was a Fall 2015 pair of jeans.

I learned a new term today: Lambs Nappa Leather. Found this Escada jacket (it was in Men's section, of course). Awesome stitching, I just need to figure out how to describe it. Available for any of your wives LOL.

Thriftbros, I have had some decent finds recently, and I'm going to try and pull together a post later once I get pics of it all.  But for now, Can anyone tell me about these two?

Woven, no content tag, feels like silk I guess... what kind of weave is this?  Not gren I assume but was curious what it's called.

Thought I popped on a Ferragamo, but now not so sure...

The color bleed on the pattern could just be a "hand-painted" stylistic choice, but the overlap on the stripe and the quality of the keeper seems suspect.  I figure it's a fake but wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, AHS

Repro A-2 jacket. Cool find! Love the old Army Air Forces stenciling.

Looks like a standard early-mid 50's wool field shirt. Nothing special but they sure are handy in the winter months,

RRL officer trousers NA

Ermahgahd adildo Roma in a really sweet pattern

Pop on Hermes tailoring. I think this was heavily altered, the rear vent is about 10" wide, the buttoning stance is crazy low, and the proportions are in general wonky looking. On the other hand, $8.99.
