84 Olympics were boycotted by a lot of the Soviet era countries. Cold war stuff.

Always a good time, dude.
Can't say enough about how generous this man is. One of his texts, while WAITING for me to arrive late (and basically wandering around the store): "Come thrift from my cart."
That PRL linen is going to be awesome come summer.

Found stuff. At my rate it'll be June by the time I photograph it.

But I did photograph these.... Thanks again for helping make these happen, Silverwarebandit.

That's part of my confusion because it has URRS in red. Do you think this was used during the olympics? This is before my time.

If they seem well made and fit, why not? They look like standard old school hiking boots, but probably wouldn't sell unless you had a brand name to go with them.

Not a thrift find, but a purchase made possible with thrift/discount finds and flips. Cashmere socks yo.

Let me know if I am prying a bit too much, but are you mainly looking at thrift stores? Or do many of these items come from craigslist and/or estate sales?

Cheers!

It looks to me that there is a big X behind the URSS which might indicate the lack of soviet names.

Value Village is getting just stupid with their prices.

Up until pretty recently, these were $15 new, and have since jumped to a staggering $19. Makes it hard for a fella to justify making the trip.

Has anyone every approached management and questioned the pricing? Curious to see what they say.
