Nashville was very good to a brotha today. I am chillin' at the Hampton Inn plotting tomorrow's path of destruction. Shame on you Music City natives. They opened a second UAL and you guys kept it a secret! ūüėĄ

Had to run a couple errands today, and haddent really had much time to get out this weekend. Also haddent had a chance to check out the second store yet. I've been slackin' a bit on that front. Just so damn busy with work and such.

@DanM congrats, place looks great

Thanks all, been a long time coming on this one.  I suppose I should have said thrift funded, rather than thrifted.  Still paid less than its worth, in my opinion.  It's 141 years old, supposedly built by one of the founders of the Cincinnati Orchestra.  While it didn't come with mint juleps, those will be added soon.  Planning a Derby party for the first official bash once we are all moved in this month.  If you guys are interested in a bit of a photodump, here's some we took during the inspection process.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Kitchen outfitted with Sub-Zero fridge, Imperial oven/range.

Can't begin to express how excited I am about the third floor.  Ceilings are ridiculously high.  More than enough room to store all of our inventory in the main room, with extra rolling racks, and photography/measuring/shipping areas.

Extra room upstairs that may be overflow, may get turned into a combo playroom/cinema room (opposite wall doesn't have the slope, perfect for a big ass screen).

Library/parlor for evening bourbon.

Wide shot of the living room and dining area.

Master bedroom also has a humongous walk-in closet with a private stairway to the main floor.  Best part is that with all of the ebay stuff moved up to the third floor, there are enough bedrooms that the new baby no longer needs to be in my room.  Good nights sleep, here I come!

@drlivingston shame on YOU for pilfering our territory...

hope you had a good time, hit me up when you get up here next

Hey,new to styleforum. Been thrifting since late october of 2015.
I got into thrifting while waiting for a lady friend to get ready. Walked into a goodwill and walked around to kill time and because i needed some dress shirts. Ended up finding some thomas pink, seize sur vingt, and brooks brothers that fit me pretty well (im a skinny guy lol),not to mention some ties( massimo bizzochi, hermes, and a burberry).I've been hitting up thrift stores more and more since then, its pretty addicting.

I googled "thrift forums" and found this thread. I was amazed by all the dope stuff you guys find, not to mention the knowledge on this and the previous thread(ive read both threads, but i forget stuff,so i go back every now n then to the first thread lol). Ive made some mistakes while shopping too,but thats how you learn(ysl and dior ties lol). And ive used the knowledge from here to improve my wardrobe. Thanks for sharing all your come ups and knowledge. Ill try n post pics of some of my stuff if i can figure out how to do it right.

Congrats, dude, house is beautiful. Something like that would be a few million around here...

Best 3 things from today: Berk slippers 10.5D, Coach briefcase, and the most AWESOME set of mid-century hand made in Italy coconut cup/bowls by Ed Langbein. Cups are definitely n/a.

Love those foams!!! Saw a pair while I was on vacation in a Cali goodwill recently but they were too small for me and were $100 and I couldn't stomach putting that kind of money out for "thrift" shoes!! Seemed to find out in Cali you win some and lose some but had a great time and found some decent items in the few stops. Seemed like orphans all collected and gathered in those stores ha but when most the rejects were better then the norm I'm used to seeing in kc that always makes it fun to see what would be in store the next item over!

Blackwatch sells. Not sure what I could say is "up" with it. Except for it's easy $$$.

In the right part of Cincinnati that's a high dollar home. There is a big Eastside/Westside divide here. If you move west you can get a lot more home for the $$$

Not had that yet. I was impressed that a massive supermarket on the UK had that to be honest. Nice change from my usual go-to wheat beers.
