Noticed a friend at church last week with a nice suit on...

Asked him about it and it was brioni... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

He then told me he's got a billionaire friend who just gives him his old stuff that he doesn't want... That suit was one the guy didn't want to dry clean! So we get to talking about high end clothes and he's talking about all this stuff like brioni tux and loads of zeg he's been given. We talk menswear and I tell him about thrifting etc... Fun convo with someone I've known for at least a few years and had no idea he knew anything about.
So this week he shows up and says oh hey I've got something for you in the car... Pulls out a trash bag and says I went through my closet and there's some pants I wanted to get rid of. I'm thinking best case scenario some zanella pleated or maybe brooks but still very nice of him.....instead this is what it was.

St croix, zanella x 2, zegnotex, loro piana, zeg x 3, brioni x 2!!!

I know that's not a big deal for a lot of you guys but since I've not even found pants in half of those brands and the fact that they all fit I'm gonna say for me this was a mini giftening!

He needs his buddy to give him some ties. That one is hideous.

Hence the shock that the suit was a brioni... He's pretty consistently wearing ties like that. Yesterday he was particularly excited about his Limbaugh tie also. Oh after I saw the pants I quickly asked him what he needs ha. Ties were not on that list of things he wants. For sure have about 200 ties that would be an improvement over that one ha. But to each his own I suppose.

@SpooPoker Is there a freakin' Trafalgar factory near you or something?

Definitely need more pics on this!!

Thought you'd been looking slimmer, man, congrats.

I found a name on the maker label in the pocket of the consignment Brioni suit I posted last week, and realized it's from a minor Louisville celebrity who's going through a nasty public divorce over his wife cheating with Charlie Strong. I'm guessing she's selling the clothes he left when he moved out, to raise money.

She fucked a guy named Charlie strong and is now selling his Brioni too?
That's just adding insult to injury

...apparently the wife gave Strong a Movado and some clothing, per the subpoena. Wonder if they were the husband's or she bought the stuff new.

A guy that used to work for my company had a tie very similar to that. Almost identical. He wore it the day he had his picture taken for the company website. He also used to wear this vomit green dress shirt (the same color as Publix green, for those of you in the southern states).

I've infected my wife. She's at a thrift store asking me if stuff is legit.

My question is whether this is mainline or a diffusion?

EDIT: Diffusion. Finally found a good resource.

I found a karl Lagerfeld shirt and had a hell of time finding a match online. Not super common so it's cool you found it quick.

It was not easy to find. karl karl lagerfeld means the same thing as karl lagerfeld to Google.

I routinely pay more than that for pre owned Patagonia fleece with labels. If you don't want to deal with them, consign with me. wink.gif
