Wait, why did you leave the Gloverall?
Never heard of it and the last few pages were bashing Tom James. Did I goof?

Don't do this, I found a nwt jacket and searched the store for the pants. I thought I found the matching ones and sold it as a suit. The dudes tailor told him they weren't a match and he returned it giving me a defect. Plus I was out shipping both ways. And he gave me neutral feedback. It is better to just sell individually.

The cashmere Pal Z didn't fit unfortunately. I don't really understand why the secondary market is so awful on this stuff that it's not worth picking up but it is what it is.

Pretty sure someone just sewed a Tom James tag into a Gloverall coat. Look how bad and uneven the tag is sewn on. Why someone would do that, I have no idea.

hey all. i know this isn't really the place for general questions, but i just can't help myself. i know many of you are extremely stylish and knowledgeable and i cannot help myself from asking when in need...
Warning: General Question Ahead...NOT Thrift Related! (Click to show)
hey all. just got a new job and it will be a business casual environment. think chinos and OCBD and the occasional pair of dark denim.

a couple questions:

1. can you recommend me a general style of shoe that looks/works best for this environment? maybe a brogued oxford (pictured below is the AE McTavish) or a Chelsea boot (are Clarks Desert Boots too casual?)?

2. would Wolverine 1000 Miles be considered way too casual? they're the rust color if it matters.

thanks!

i think the mctavish would be fine, if you're going for a boot then the DB would probably be a little too casual so i'd find a good looking captoe boot or maybe something like the AE dalton

depends on the style here, the rockfords are probably okay but the rest might be a little casual

My stepmpther's mother (I know how distant is that) married an old man who owned an oil and gas company in Memphis.  He wore an identical Red SC to my stepbrother's wedding with white pants and white bucks.   He also paid for the wedding that included champagne for each guest to toast the couple and prime rib, caviar, insane amounts of seafood, parking valets, Waterford crystal sculptures engraved with the names of the couple, etc, etc.

I don't think I will ever have that kind of money, but I can't wait to be old enough to wear a red blazer and white pants and not give a fuck about what anyone thinks.

By the way, when I got married the same man sent me a set of wood TV trays from JCPenney.

I think they might have wanted an inside pocket so the cut one out from the lining of a suit?

It does kind of look like that. But the stitching is hokey as hell tho.

I'll disclose if I do. Either that or list separately and add links in the description. Since they have 2 different tags it's obvious that it's not an exact match.
