The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 1954

Since everybody is posting sick overcoats, I thought I'd throw this into the mix. I've thrifted a number of polo coats over the years, including an Oxxford pure cashmere number, but this is the one I've really been lusting over. The breast pocket flap really sets it over the top in my opinion. N/A, already gone.

Some awesome hauls recently, @GMMcL, unbelievable post! Beautiful coat, Frenchy!

Found this incredibly nice leather coat. It's handmade, but the brand isn't anything known. The buttons are from an Austin Healey. Anyone have any ideas? Great leather and heavy as hell. Generic M sizing, probably somewhere between M and L.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

How this second one wasn't one of you guys. Seemed like it might have been a mistaken listing.

Ha, yeah the tie was me. I had it listed before and got 0 attention so I didn't think much of it. Lesson learned.

I found a Anne Valerie piece in my "Yohji Haul" but couldn't find anything about her. It was pretty wild.

You fucked up plain and simple.its okay thats how you learn.ive done it too.

This whole thing is strange. I can't decide which is more unlikely: someone that buys Brioni cashmere overcoats at retail following this thread or someone that follows this thread not knowing that jacket (even with damage) is an instakop. patch[1].gif

I guess Frenchy is winning either way.

Theres a third option he was the owner but decided to donate.which is the worst of all.
But im going with my original theory thatt e fucked up thats why he said LEFT and not DONATED.
Im not surprised though.if its the guy im thinking of hes been walking by zegna etc for at least two months.

Technically he didn't have to buy it at retail, but I don't think it's unbelievable that he could've donated it. I don't think it matters either way since you were happy to find it regardless of how it got there lol.

Had a meeting with my mentor regarding job stuff today.

Speaking of badass overcoats...
This one is from @mjsmcribb
Kiton cashmere SC - nice e-discount
Howard yount brown flannels - B&S purchase for cheap
Unknown shirt - @nataku or @dahl4yankees
Drakes PS - @spoopoker
Zegna suede monkstraps - thrift priced consignment

Then I turned into a fuccboi for the rest of the day

Spiewak N3B - ethrift
Allsaints crew neck sweatshirt- thrift
Zanerobe drop crotch jeans - thrift
Allsaints harness distressed suede boots - underpriced consignment
Ralph - expensive lil shit

I like being able to try out different styles for cheap, It's probably one of my favorite things about this hobby.

To help keep this relevant, picked up those boots and this shirt yesterday both in my size. 🤓

I feel like they go for less now than they did same time last year.. But they're still worth picking up if they're cheap. Some of the crazy color/design ones still bring $200+ I sold one for $45 and another for $103 around Christmas time, so they can be all over the place. Put "biggie" or "notorious BIG" in the title wink.gif
