pretty sure polo has used anything and everything as far as hardware. i've seen the ubiquitous ykk, conmar, lampo (very very nice zips), eclair prym (another nice one), etc etc. I'm sure that zip is as stock.

It doesn't look like the Unite Tag, so probably the ACTWU tag  So, 1995 at the very latest.

I stopped at a nearby DAV after lunch and found a minty perfect Dunn & Co Harris Tweed (and it was 50% off!).

But, I passed on the following:

I thought this was really cool looking.  But, in terms of a brag (based on resale), it was pretty meh.  I liked the colors and thought it was sort of a baller/FU plaid.  No material tag.  Felt like mostly wool -- but maybe a little poly.

Plus, it was marked $12.98.   Did I F up not kopping?

I also passed on this coat below primarily because of price:

Its a Black Double Breasted Coat.  Nice.  But, they wanted $31.  If anyone is interested I can get proxy.  It was a relatively smallish size, but I am guessing and a lot of sizes look small to me.

I would have left it as well.

Yeah, that doesn't shock me. I look at polo shit everyday on ig and I'm always seeing new stuff. I currently have 7 polo jackets with zippers and they all say rl or polo but there's endless variations of that stuff.

when you're in the racks check the backs of the slider, bottom stops, etc for the manufacturer. they're often branded polo, rl, pony guy whatever on the front of the pull... most will be ykk but often enough it'll be some of the more exotic hardware.

Thanks I guess I need to search harder for little details.

Hit Charlotte as I do every Monday. I feel like crap so I'll post my haul later. This, however, was easily the best thing I found and perhaps ever found:

No hood or zip-in liner but fuck it. Size medium and available.

Ha! Also found a Horsey today. Women's XL in black. Good times

More pics:

More thrift fits from the same sale:

I'm kind of a sucker for vintage Longwings.   I thought the color of these was cool and they fit.  But, I may decide to sell them because i have WAY too many shoes.

These are Towncraft (JCPenney).  Back in the day when this style gunboat was popular, someone made these for JCPenney.  I'm not sure who, but they are heavy and sturdy like Florsheims or Hanovers.  Again my Size 11.5B

I'm also a sucker for Saddle Shoes again my size (11.5C)

The insole says Lloyd's (I think), but I can't find any other indication of the maker.  I have never heard of Lloyds.

Navy socks are never, ever the wrong socks.

Thanks to @rayxlui for pointing these out.  We both bought a pair.  I noticed that the sellers asking price went up $100.00 for the remaining inventory this morning.  Made by Cheaney I believe.  http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=55819936
