I've not heard of the maker before; seems they are made by Calzoleria Harris who make (made?) shoes in Florence. Their website looks a bag of shite so wondering if the company is still going anymore. What English shoemaker would they be comparable with? Does the wording in the shoe tell me anything about what quality they might be?

Thanks in advance.

Wanted to get a word in before it gets lost in the other conversation.  I grabbed a pair of these (same maker, different model) for much the same reasons.  Decent quality, Italy, condition.  Quick search around shows these shoes retail ~$3-500 at places like Barneys NY and occasionally went on sale at Marshalls for $150-200. What I can't figure out is if Calzoleria Harris is the same as Harris Shoes, but as far as I can tell yes, and they're still in business. If someone else knows more than I, I'd love to learn more myself.

Mine are too big for me, so trying to flip.  Still haven't gotten much love on Ebay for them at all in 4 months.  But if yours fit you and you like wearing them, it seems like you did pretty well.

Today was pretty good, started off with a bunch of fodder

Which turned into this jacket and cash

Actual thrift stuff

RRL indigo jack rabbit

The women's stuff I found today was waaaaaayyyy better than the men's stuff

Really appreciate the reply. I too had a quick look on ebay completed listings on my phone in the shop and only saw two listed. Seems they aren't well known. Anyway, they fit me well and can go into my work rotation if nothing else. I can always gift them to my dad or something if not! Thanks again.

Bros, so I just had a WTF moment. It was so surreal. I felt like I was in a movie. I went to one of my regular store which hasn't been producing much lately. For some strange reason, I had the nagging feeling that I was going to find some kittens in the racks. I kept hearing meow meow meow. Guess what? I came across a kitten orphan. I was now both ecstatic and sad the same time because i had shitty luck reuniting kitten orphans in the past. But just as I was thinking about that, I looked across the racks and saw a pair of reverse orphans that resembled the kitten. I had to adjust my glasses and stared at the reverse orphans for 3 seconds. Then it dawned on me, I have located the other half of this grail suit! Holly f****** shit! I did not waste even a split second and violently reached across the racks and swooped the pants into my arms! Grail achieved! Kittens for less than $20!? Sure, why not.

N/a as fuck!

Nice work on reuniting. I've only done it three times - BBGF, Henry Poole, and EZ.

To the bro who's asking about quality vs label.. I just pulled a rlpl pants without looking at the label but relied only on the built quality. So, the skills to recognize quality clothes will come with time and practice.

Cool that they preserved the sign. I have some great childhood memories from drive-ins. I think we have 1 left in the state of Minnesota.

So, i went back to the hood to see if i can reunite some orphans. Just found out the Henry poole were 3 pieces as ive found the 2 vests. But found another vest with the same built quality. That means there are more pooles here. Need to camp out. Oh, reunited hf orphans.

At the thrift store I hit the most, I walk past the suits/SCs on the way to the shoes when I get there. I scan the suits/SCs and and try to guess which one will be the "best" just by a quick glance. I'm probably like 75% correct.

How do you break down all the various numbers inside a shoe?

That's the kind of pricing I contend with. Worth it for staple solid gray, though, as long as it's the more current cut Inco flat front (I'm not as much a fan of the relaxed/straight fit - YMMV), with the pick/overstitch and split waistband. Personal use or otherwise. Inco makes a great trou, and if that's your workaday, you're doing just fine.

I 100% agree with this, but 100% won't throw any stones in the direction of my glass house.
