I am definitely not saying selvedge is a sign of quality since I have handled Evisu and Gap selvedge and neither were superior to my Levis. I have been wearing 501's and 505's since 1982, and people in this forum indicated it was time to up my game. That's all this conversation was about, finding Shoeluv a pair or two of non-dad jeans.

PM me. let's see if i can help later in the day.:satisfied:

will just need deetz on what you need.

my advice it to choose fit over hype.  i have owned many "grail" jeans. and found my faves to be a surprise.
including 45RPM non selvedge.and  Nudie jeans.

Yeah, i wore Ironhearts all day. then changed into Sugarcane union stars for comfort. in fact, i reject anything resembling a "trend".   fit and personal style beats all.  do what works for you.

And, Selvedge is a gimmick. it is no indicator of quality. cuffing your jeans is soooooo  2015. move on people.

You reject trends, yet ask us to reject something that is no longer a trend? Rejecting trends, which I am a proponent of, requires that you wear what you like regardless of what is in style at the moment.

If your style is dad jeans, rock them. If your style is cuffed selvedge, rock it. If your style is drop crotch jeans, please stay in school; perhaps you'll learn better. wink.gif

now this makes no sense at all.  Jeans are an intimate item. like underwear all can see. - the hottest choice might not actually be what you want to wear daily. a middle ground can be found.

What you're suggesting is essentially a trend. Yes, there is a middle ground, and it involves not judging other people for their sense of style.

I dress now essentially the same way as I did in the 1990s. What has changed is the quality and fit.

Waitin for that flight home thrift fit.

Cucinelli flannel slacks - Thrift - $8.
AE Dalton wingtips - eBay cop - $115.
Filson 48 hour duffle - Buffalo trade.
Coach leather briefcase - Buffalo - $20.

Just picked up the Filson the night before leaving PDX. Traded like $90 worth of stuff for it. Thing is MINT. Such a good cop.
