Heh, to be clear I'm not even REMOTELY mad - I hold no claim to things I'm not holding, and I've missed far worse at estate sales. I do this stuff for fun, to outfit my own closet and that of friends, and fund my own purchases. I'm not totally mercenary, I just love the digging. Making fun of myself a little for screwing up!

In the end the thrift gods pay back... Hit one more spot before heading home, copped two Domenico Vacca button down plaids, a Billy Reid corduroy jacket, Barbour quilted jacket, and a Brioni and Zegna tie. I can end the day on a high note ;)

God this thing took a horrible picture for being so awesome. The shoulders on my size 40 mannequin were not manly enough to hold this thing. Tags were ripped out, but from experience, I know it's Astor & Black. Anyone here a professional football player? These shoulders are massive.

Speaking of Astor & Black. Whenever I find it, I usually find it in groups. Almost always I'll find it in groups with the same monograms on each shirt and the same names inside the jackets. I went to a store that I had just struck out on like 2 weeks prior, and found about 30 A&B pieces. 2 orphans and the rest shirts. What was so weird was that out of those 30, there were at least 15 different monograms. Lots of different initials and names and sometimes just random words like "dream" on the cuff. I can't figure out how this donation could have occurred. I started looking up names because they made for a lot of athletes in their prime, but they were all unimportant people from all over the country. Someone must have had a huge fetish for A&B and bought a ton of stuff used or something. Anyway, this is the only piece I grabbed. A solid gray orphan, but you'll see why I grabbed it. This one also took horrible pictures.

Hey there.

They way they placed this one makes her look so shy.
