I went to an estate sale once that had a bunch of Brioni and Oxxford suits. They had them all marked at $200-$400 each. Absolutely insane. I told the guy the prices were astronomical. He told me that Sunday would be 1/2 off day. I told him that even 1/2 off is way too much. I asked if he'd make a deal after the sale and he said everything just gets donated. Ridiculous. They'd rather donate than sell? Whatever. Needless to say, I don't attend sales run by this company anymore.
Donation=tax Write-off for the amount of current market value. Better than a sale sometimes.

Anyone recognize this faded label? A friend sent me this picture and I'm trying to figure it out but no luck.

I scored a Borrelli Coat with those tags, IMO worth it

Oh hai.... Some SW&D fodder

Forgot about these bad boys from a while back... Alden for BB Shell Oxfords - both were only worn less than 2-3 times. Size 12D. True thrift too!

Well, fuck me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thrifted stuff (n/a):

Next are from a home downsizing sale. Most everything was at thrift prices aside from the coats which were I guess at low consignment prices (~$30).

They priced old label Boss and old Armani stuff higher. After a little haggling, I was able to get a number of items thrown in free (including the RLPL leather jacket since it has some dark spots on the back) and with a final discount off the whole bill.

I probably left behind over half the wardrobe- a lot of which was older label zegna, and the rest recent label but with monogrammed initials on the chest. Sadly, there were over 20 very recent label Zegna suits/sport coats which they priced higher and wouldn't come down to thrift prices so I left those (and anyway about half were su misura with his name on the label). We'll see. Wasn't going to leave it for $4. Tweets sold the same one for $40. If I was consigning, I wouldn't pick up half the stuff that I do, but I'm not.
