No problem. Your pics weren't too bad, though, just try to have them right side up lol. Good finds! Check your PM's. :slayer:

early ralph lauren used that all caps logo as shown on your tie. and ralphie didn't sell direct back then, he went through mens' shops and dept stores. i suspect if you research the additional tag you'll find an old men's shop, probably now defunct, that stocked rl. i'm absolutely in love with that print btw.

The buttons say Nike

Thanks on the RL info I'll see what I can come up with.

Amazing @ejay1. My head would explode if I walked into a garage sale and saw that stuff. So much purple.

i really do love the tie. might be i'll send a pm...

yes thanks for showing the snaps. also look at the zipper. what is that? look back at the embroidered "E", see how the middle "tine" is off-center? and the tines look sort of long? and the upper point of the swoosh isn't crisp? google the nike logo and compare - i would bet money that the vest is bootleg. is there an interior tag? just some grist to consider...

fwiw i kopped a fake-ass "vintage" nike windbreaker just this weekend. spent a stupid amount of time trying to figure it out too. it happens.

Considering all of the RLPL he just kopped, I am assuming that would be the state of euphoria, Spoo.

I was able to haggle them down to about $80 each if I bought at least 10. Couldn't figure out why they wouldn't go down more when one of them remarked that stuff would be donated after the sale. The sale ended today so I hope I might find them soon in a thrift.

Would have bought and not thought twice^

Odd though that they wanted that for those but sold horseys and shit for thrift. Weird. Haha, I'm sure you weren't mad.

+1. I would have bought em all and ran out the door. $80 a pop isn't bad at all if they were super recent and nice patterns. Find out where they donated and camp there! smile.gif

I went to an estate sale once that had a bunch of Brioni and Oxxford suits. They had them all marked at $200-$400 each. Absolutely insane. I told the guy the prices were astronomical. He told me that Sunday would be 1/2 off day. I told him that even 1/2 off is way too much. I asked if he'd make a deal after the sale and he said everything just gets donated. Ridiculous. They'd rather donate than sell? Whatever. Needless to say, I don't attend sales run by this company anymore.

Flippy Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
You figure, at worst a recent Zeg suit is bringing 250 or so. I like those margins. Hell, at 100-200 I'd buy Brioni and Oxxford if decent patterns or staple. Not spectacular margins, but they sell well and look good in your ebay store. I get why they won't make a deal at the end of a Salem hough. Hahaa, then no one would buy during the sale.
