About an 11. I figured I'd keep them, but I already have a pair of climbing shoes, so I'm happy to pass along.

sometimes thrifting is a cruel mistress. Went out last week (first time in a while) and I had to pass on a super recent Isaia jacket because it had a hole on the lapel and it was an orphan. Then a little further down the rack I spot a nice zegna wool/silk suit looks minty, aaaaaaand then I see a massive hole on the elbow. so I check back quickly the next few days for other scraps... nada. :brick:

I'm looking at getting either a standalone record player, or one with a built in AM/FM radio for my office. Ideally, it would have an AUX output so I can plug it into my Bose speakers (which I already use to get sound from iTunes in my computer.

I would like to be able to play all forms of vinyl, though I don't have a whole lot of records at the moment.

If anyone has a suggestion of what to look for, or if you find something suitable in a thrift, hit me up.

Unfortunately I've never seen a standalone turntable or all-in-one system that wasn't a total piece of crap and the turntables on all the ones I've seen are awful. Cheap cartridges, tone-arms with no counterweight so they wear down your records really fast, cheap construction, etc.

Best I've seen is this, and it isn't thrifty at all. Maybe a little gimicky as well, but looks to be the best bet as far as engineering and sound quality.

Ha!  Me, too.  Even without that haul, I would be happy to be getting something from his collection.   In case I am, that LV trunk would be nice.  You don't even have to mail it.  I'll come get it.  Please fill it with Kiton or Chanel.

Yeah, I came across that one in my early searching a few weeks ago. Looks like a two month lead time to get one though, which is kind of a turn-off. It does seem like a cool concept though. If I got that, I would have to start collecting vinyl more seriously.  :D

Amir of Beverly Hills/Bel Air.... goes by both. He has that huge Billboard at Sepulveda and Santa Monica Blvd. that is adjacent to the two Bijan Billboards. Essentially he was a poor (still quite rich) man's Bijan and now that Bijan has passed I believe he is trying to carve his path to the top....this however is an older piece.

The cool thing about belt-drive turntables is it's easy to listen to all those records that have backmasking.  Hail Santa!

They seem like they were worn one time ever before making their way to the donation bin. My size, not available!
