First, a sweater. Turtleneck w/ zipper on collar, merino.

Moving along, this one seemed interesting. She-sweater

Brooks blazer, no other labels, N/A

Full Jil Sander suit, 54L (44L), near pristine condition. Was this worth it for $30? I know the brand is higher end, but not something I see or hear about.

Full suit, has Zegna cloth label, white pocket label says Zegna super 180s. No other tags N/A

D&G, not sure if it's a blazer or an orphan. Didn't see any pants or label that indicates that it would be a suit, so prob the former. N/A

label pic came out blurry

These bad boys, 9M near pristine condition. Might be the nicest condition shoes that weren't completely new that i've seen at one of these stores to date. Inside of the shoes say Ceasre Veni, and the leather is decent quality. bottom of soles say vero cuoio vera pelle.

Then, BONUS! I hit another goodwill that was right in the same area on the way back real quickly. Grabbed some shirts, and a blazer I saw that was about 12 bucks, and said "pure cashmere", without paying much attention to the labels and tags until I got home.

Good shit? Picture doesn't do it justice.

About $170 spent, total. Got a few decent things and 1 or 2 homeruns maybe? I dunno. I still don't have 100% confidence in what I buy, as a rookie.

If youre buying to flip, the only two pieces I woukd have bought are the belvest and the Jil suit. Would have paid $40 max for them both. YMMV and my opinion only.

also, if you don't have confidence in an item?  walk.  do research, and hopefully go back if it's something.

I was at that VV yesterday when they opened and saw it. There was a True Religion jacket they wanted 60$ for lol

But I did score a Burberry London Kensington windowpane 41R for 12.99 less 30% lol

And holy price gouging Batman. I thought it was 14.99 at first and thought it would be great for personal use. No it wasn't a price error, these are very high end. I asked lol

Anyone heard of the second brand. The charm inside looked cool but was in rough shape and didn't fit.

Also happy birthday Nataku

And finally had to laugh that they couldn't even give away the skeet. Did not cop as too ugly for personal

Ya it looked pretty rough but the color and material caught my eye and I thought the charm inside was neat

Is that normally a decent make and purchase on something in better shape?

Your pics are my favorite.

After months off work looking after my daughter/thrifting, I have reluctantly returned to the corporate world, meaning I'm mainly going to be living vicariously through you guys and e-thrifting for a while.

But speaking of e-thrifting, here's how not to sell mint Savile Row bespoke suits.  I took a chance on the first one here, as the later pics showed it to be Richard Anderson:

Not exactly a rock bottom price, but easily flippable I thought.  It arrived a few days ago and fits great with only minor tweaking needed - a complete fluke as I had no idea of the size.  I am certain it's not been worn more than once, seems new to me.  This is my new favourite suit.

So from the same seller I bought a dinner suit made for the same guy. Even more crazily listed! I might only wear it a couple of times in my life, but it's cheaper than hiring one, and was bespkoke taylored on Seville Row:

Since you mention you are a rookie and looking for feedback, I would say you did okay for a rookie  AND made all the mistakes we all made when we started.

$170 is WAY more than you should have paid.  First, the BB looks like an orphan, not a blazer.  The rest of the bunch has some interesting names and depending on the condition of the Jil Sander and the EZ, they might be good buys but not for $30!    If they were all priced that high, the only thing I would have bought would have been the belvest unless the Jil Sander and EZ were NEW.

On the plus side, the Belvest was a great buy assuming the price was approximately the same as the Jil.   The shoes may look nice and if they are your size, then wear them!  They are worth very little in terms of resale.

Remember, these are all normal mistakes that nearly every one makes.  You are way ahead of the other rookies because you are already on this forum and learning!

Legit? Leaning to yes because it feels high quality but I can't find another one like it.

The only ones I bought specifically to profit from are the Jil suit and the shoes, actually. Everything else I have something in mind for. Total gamble on the shoes, for sure though. The leather quality and condition was very good, and they were only $15.

Curious though, what would be the issue with the Dolce & Gabbana blazer? It doesn't seem like a fake, does it?
