Many of us have had to visit the thriftadone clinic at some point. We are here for you, brother. One day at a time.

Thriftadone is worse than just thrifting

I'd guess Iowa State

  your photos are beautiful man.

Thanks! I'm far from the best photographer around here and my knowledge of photography is incredibly limited, so I make do!

What do you know about Konen and Leithouser? Are those German department stores or are they brands?

There are a few German makers out there that aren't too bad. There is also an Austrian maker, Feller, that makes nice pants. On the larger scale, Hiltl makes pants that are great when you can find them on sale.

I had to actually look up Konen and it seems to be a private store in Munich. They carry things like L.B.M. and Hugo Boss. I'll keep an eye out for them. Did you possibly see "Leithäuser"? If that's the case, it's owned by a trendy/price-conscious group that does both mens and womenswear.

Men, the thrift gods heard my lament this morning, and they says to me , nay!!!! He shall not have thriftadone, he shall have pure uncut savile row!!! And so it was...

I was going to spend the morning in the studio before work, checked the hours before I left and saw it was closed on Sunday's. So I decided to pop some tags instead. Also, POP!!!!

Recent finds...

Anyone with a connection to Z√ľrich? Hand-rolled and interesting.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Lehner, handrolled, nice print.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Unmarked hat, Gore-Tex. Anyone (@Fueco) know, can I throw something like that in the washing machine?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Old Harris Tweed from a tailor in my town, dated 1966.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Found an Agnona cashmere sweater for women last spring, first time for the relatively rare menswear. Cashmere overcoat.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Vintage tweed.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I'm almost certain this is fake. I grabbed it very quickly because it was A) super cheap, B) actually down, and C) saw a completed listing from the UK. Can someone confirm that it's worthless? The YKK zippers are fake and I believe there's a mistake in the French (a space missing). Tagged XXL, fits like an M.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Showed this last year I think, but pulled it out to photograph. Fur-lined (entirely) and heavy as it looks.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

This looks terrible on a mannequin, but it's super-cool. C.P. Company wool/mohair/nylon/silk.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Hugo Boss Selection...super recent, though production is now in Turkey.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Burberry

Beretta, mint.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Not available. Size 46 and not pinned to the mannequin. It's 80/20 wool cashmere. The shoulders are strong/roped, but it is nice.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Is Jey Coleman just a Yoox brand? Grabbed this on the cheap as it fit and figured I'd wear it once or twice. Nothing special about the construction.

Great haul, nice finds on the Loro Piana and Cucinelli! I found/posted this same thing a couple of months ago...and someone else had found it a week prior. I wonder if they were dumped worldwide(?) happy.gif

I typically find two or three pairs or Hiltl (some NWT) at the thrifts every time that I go. I could proxy if you want. I never buy them because they perform rather poorly on the secondary market.

You're right about that, unfortunately. They retail quite high, but the construction isn't out of this world. That said, I have a couple of pairs in wool that have held up very well.

@HansderHund  no maker tag on that blue coat?  First iimpression on that shoulder silhouette is french tailoring.

Almsot tempted to say it's pagoda if an actual person was wearing it; and you don't often see those.

Thanks! They may have, maybe overstock from summer? Wish I had found it, say 4 or 5 months ago to sell into summer, but we'll see how it does.
