And if anybody has a N3-B in olive, with quality zippers in a 40?   i have a buyer for you for a quick flip. - a request from the guy who is teaching me welding.  he will pay up to $100 for a nice one. army issue preferred, but hey, i can look at it and know if he will like it.  slight wear and tear may be ok.

Couple of cool thing this week:

Pendleton blue blazer in 44L, minty

Pendleton XL jacket with surprise back

Pendleton medium vest

Zegna "Soft" shirt that lives up to the name

Inis Crafts sweater, made in Ireland

But then I thought, why not check craigslist? Who knows what might be there?

Well, it turns out there were some things there. Things like the NWT Filson vest for

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
$30

Also two more Filson jackets (one a red plaid Mackinaw), advertised (and based on the pictures, likely) NWOT,

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
$130 for the pair

Going to pick those up tomorrow. Not quite thrift prices, but acceptable.

I'm not sure what you mean by dibs. If all you mean is the dude got first shot at something and still paid standard store price and the money went to the store then maybe I agree.
But if it was a true back room deal -- stuff was specifically set aside, dude paid less and money went to the manager's pocket then it's illegal in about four ways I can think of off the top of my head.

Three hand made in Italy grenadines and we got them at the dillards clearance center for half off the $42 sales tag.
Before I found thrifting I used to get all my clothes there. Still get presents for my dad and things I would not get used. It is hit or miss but when you hit it right, like the ties, some pretty good deals.
Also regarding the cremieux signature line I think there's some good value there. I have about a half dozen signature cashmere sweaters I got for about 10% of retail over the years that are my winter staples.

Look like some smart ties. Would also be interested in a green one if you find it when you go.
ATTENTENTION THRIFTA CLAUS
I need green ties, esp grenadine (yeah, I know). And linen ties too.

Happy belated birthday big poppa.

i'm sure i don't know the details of the transaction... nor do i care, frankly. i'm not the thrift police, and for all i know it was as straight-up as such an arrangement can be.

Is it the kevlar and cotton mixed or the kevlar lined?

If the latter, you don't really need it unless you ride. But if the former, I would rock it. It's a conversational piece. Good shit if you can kop on cheap.
