I think those are triathlon cycling shoes. Cool find though!

@sashae in that situation, you might try negotiating or asking for a discount.  I will typically show the workers the issues, maybe asking if the manager can do 50% off or more since there are problems with it.  always worth a shot, have gotten stuff offered for free but usually always offer to make a token donation.

Meh?

agree with @Jompso - $85 (plus fixer-upper $) seems like too much skin to put up and a lot could go wrong, unless of course it's for personal use.

these days, i do some serious cherry picking. it's a buyer's market imo and there are undoubtedly sweeter plums out there for @sashae. $.02. i can't worry about the obvious, overpriced, crusty swag. there's always the next thing. and the next...

That's possible and I've tried it a couple times before; there's only one store where that was successful for me. If he's at the other stores, where the people are angry then it wouldn't happen. I really hope it all works out, pics would've helped but there are so many lurkers that they'd just go snatch it up tomorrow. (if they haven't already)

I started my first job in 10 months two weeks ago so my finds have just been stuff picked up while shopping for personal use. Love to see everyone else is still thrifting at full force
Negative on that. This one was made for a Mr. James.

There's so many fish in the sea, maybe not so much right now but in the future things will turn around. We (@sashae ) were just talking about it being dry and today was a little better. It's better to save until the grail starts rolling out again. Case in point a few months back I wanted a new messenger bag: Filson or Jack Spade, I saw one in the Housing Works window for auction and lost the auction because I didn't want to bid $230. Well about 3 weeks later I found the same bag for a fraction of the price, a week later I found another, patience is a good thing in this game. Ultimately even though the drought is on this city is a place that's known for having a lot of goodies.
