The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 1212

A few pics from a few weeks of thrifting, I'm getting very selective about what I pick up; not to mention the amount of competition around here is out of this world. I was fortunate enough to have met up with @hooker4186 a few weeks back, and even met @sashae, hopefully next time we'll know we're speaking to each other lol.

Barberini by Boglioli tagged 42 but fits closer to a 40-41 R.

Really excited when I pulled this, even had a pocket square and Trafalgar Suspenders. 38 R

40 R which I think will replace the one below for me. No sure yet prob N/A.

Past pick up 40 R/L

High quality 38/ 31 maybe

I thought these were cool.

The best PS I've ever seen.

And the addiction does not stop...one spot today that I hit yesterday but realized I didn't hit women that hard yesterday....this is coming from a person who would only pick it up if it was Chanel and has aboslutely no outlet to unload because I don't and won't list womens...yet the acquisitions continue...1 stop 20 minutes 0 fucks cuz sales were fucking on point the last few days.

YSL Rive Gauche fairly new condition

Need a quick little touch up from my leather guy but Vivienne Westwood leather boots

Guiseppe Zanotti Platofrms with black silk uppers(?)

Fucking amazing skirt by one of the best in the world

Another nice skirt by one of the other bests in the world 93/7 wool cash, suede waist tie

Lastly there's this bad boy

So so much gold, saying no was impossible.... 50/50 Cotton/Silk blend pant suit

if someone knows how to read Gucci tags and can ballpark date this it would be highly appreciated. The phrase "Tom Ford Era" always has a nice ring to it.

LOL Yea it's the circle of life man. There are a couple notorious flippers around that area, plus the stores are really slow right now give it about another month.

Naw, the drought season is upon us... at least that's what all the managers I've shot teh shit with have been tellin me...shits dry right now ....i think it usually gets kinda bad right around this time, right before the fall stuff hits the racks and all the warmer seasonal stuff gets donated for that warmer attire

Yup same here, I've spoken to a few managers and workers and it's the same story it's slow and not much stuff available. I usually head out 3-5x a week and several of these days I leave completely empty handed. I've seen this film before though, maybe mid November to March/April it's going to be a dream. So it's important to save and make smart investments where ya can. It's easy to get jaded when ya hop on the forum and see the finds other people are pulling in. @silverwarebandit nearly gave me a couple heart attacks lol. I feel like theres's something that I forgot to post.

@sashae  did you pick up those Alden Indy's in the Consignment store?

Copped some 4/5 oz Veg-Tan Cowhide at the leather shop today. Already got the pieces for a new CC holster cut out, shaped, dyed and ready to stitch together tomorrow. Does anyone else here do Leatherworking? And would anyone be interested in seeing some of my projects? Got a new wallet prototype coming off the drawing board and into the flesh next week, as well as new watch bands soon.

Tons of other stuff I should be doing, but I enjoy working on leather things late at night with some Sierra Nevada Pale Ales. :spew:

A bit late to this, but if you're doing holster work, I'd love to see it. I'm an absolute holster whore.
