Yeah the zipper needs some work. So I went to the Loro Piana store afterwords and I'm getting a replacement sent in from Italy. Also, when you walk into the LP store with deer leather they show you every fucking thing you want to see. Like the entire vicuña collection drool.gif I gotta wear baggier pants when I go in to pick up the replacement zip.

Some days you're the hydrant, some days you're the dog.

Smaller shop was doing buy 1 get 2 on ties. They know me. I chatted them up, asked about stuff in the back. Offered to rack stuff if they brought it out. They brought 1 huge bag and I got LOTS of goodies --- Hermes, Charvet, Brioni (but no tags, which is going to be a problem), and a shit ton of Zegna. I nearly talked my way into the back where there was a metric ton more ties, but then the manager lady said that stuff wasn't "appropriate" for the sale. It's OK, I said, I'll pay full price for that stuff. No? OK, here's my number -- just call me when it hits the floor at full price. Good deal. Parted on good terms. All about being respectful and polite.

Also bought: Coogi fuuuuuugly sweater, Allen Edmonds shoes, couple Bills shirts. 45 ties total. All under a C note.

Today I was the dog.

@noob in 89??

I'm no expert, but if you're looking for vintage, then any label printed on the actual shirt, as opposed to a tag, is an insta-pass. They didn't start doing that until fairly recently, at least as far as I know.

That bape shirt looks neat, though! I'd definitely grab anything like that for cheap, even with the likelihood of fakes.

Right on. Colors and subject matter were a throwback in my brain, thought of you.

This needs to be split up like Grailed...one iconic thread thrifters thread for the Loro Piana sweaters, leathers, etc. and then another thrifters thread for the regular human thrifters.
