The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Part II (Return to the Thunderdome) - Page 1168

Bought this rug today:

http://www.amazon.com/Karastan-700-Series-Persian-Tapestry/dp/B000FTQV68

http://www.awcarpet.com/cat/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=21

Yep.... This rug sells for $2,000 - 2,300+ new. It's in nearly mint condition. I paid $395.

I've always wanted a HUGE (10'6" x 8'8") Oriental Rug like this for my bedroom, and now I have it. Shit is so goddamn nice.

Thank goodness I haven't seen it locally(knock on wood). Sounds terrible.

This. Though I'm more and more convinced it's the latter, since the price on some of what I'm seeing slashed isn't excessive. It's the functional equivalent of Ghengis Khan burn and pillage strategy: leave nothing behind for opposing armies to draw sustenance from, even if you can't take it all with you. In my case, even though they were cut, there might still be money left to be made. Still pisses me off.

That's some dirty pussy shit. I don't understand, why cut it when you can buy it? Are they trying to shock and scare the competition? There's plenty to go around, you greedy fucks!

Anyhow, 28 stores on the map. Let's give this try again!

Moncler down and Truzzi shirt. I decided that Moncler was real so I removed price tag and can't return, now I'm a bit worried that some stains won't come out...

Came home early yesterday to a busted door and two missing laptops. Our small tv from 2009 was also gone, as were some '90s baseball cards. The dog and the cat are fine, so that's good. All in all, it could have been a lot worse. It also might have been preventable (the alarm wasn't on, the deadbolt wasn't latched), but maybe not.

I'm typing this on our iPad, which was thankfully not touched.

Yesterday was a shitty day, but I'm more mad than anything.

Sucks man, sorry to hear it. Worst part is not feeling safe for the next couple of weeks. At least that's how it was for us when it happened.

pretty sure somebody on here would want to square up a deal on it. :nodding:  had the same worry about a red Jacket recently, perhaps we could both attempt to clean them?

-something towards replacing your stuff.

Edit: Can i ask the makes of the 2 laptops? Via PM?  a guy in ATL is selling 2 laptops for $350 restored to factory settings.............:paranoia:

Yes, I'm gonna try, and in my experience most stains come out but these just look like they might be hard
