Change of subject.  For all the folks that do this for a business.   How many miles do you usually claim on your taxes?   (of course, I have perfectly recorded all my miles and in a legal and orderly fashion just like the IRS would expect and I am not asking this for any reason other than an educational purpose -- TAKE THAT NSA listening and reading everything we do and say).

Doesn't being an attorney already qualify you to deduct a percentage of your mileage...who is going to question that?

Yes. But, mileage through the law firm isn't even close to the mileage for thrifting.

quick stop in chinatown earlier... at the end of a rack and "what's that smell?" turn around and dude is in deep, deep rem sleep on a demo mattress lol. staff rousts him and he goes "man i'm just so sleepy..." good times.

did find some decent polo sport and vintage jean lafont sunnies.

Saw this Honda Repsol Motorcycle jacket today.   I don't much about them.

Priced at $50.  Some wear, not bad.  It is leather and has the various pads built in.

Also, here's an odd one:

A members only Coat with a Fur Collar:

I "think" that they'rea European version of early Avirex. When Avirex first started if I remember/understand correctly, they made reproductions of various cool AF and Army stuff.

Sorry.

Well I guess you should keep a good record of the mileage then.

Cool, not military issue?

Can anyone help me understand what I've got here? I bought it because it seemed old and cool, based on the label I'm going to say late 60s, maybe early 70s, but I really have no idea. Seems to be a hunting suit of some kind, has a game pouch. Pretty heavy material, but not insulated in any way. @Nataku ? @capnwes ? Not even sure of the brand, to be honest. Is it Redhead?

Available

Thanks!

No, sorry to be unclear. Skyline did have a contract to supply clothing, I'm pretty sure yours is vintage military. I was referring to Buzz Rickson.

I wish I could see more of the tag. It looks like it has a waaaaay old NSN in there. If you know someone with a good copy of FedLOG, they might be able to look it up.

Those jackets are warm as hell BTW.

Nataku is more clued in than I am though from reading his posts.

Crockett & Jones Black Shell Cordovan Blucher in 8.5D

This was a drunk e-thrift for $230 figuring I could flip it quickly. Looks like they were just resoled.

Lesson learned, stay away from eBay after opening a bottle of Knob Creek...
