ok. you've got my interest.
black sockless loafers? are you about to board a private submarine? attending a funeral at the beach? i'm super duper curious...

i've seen some nice black loafers but i couldn't imagine being able to actually wear em - seems too "in-between" but maybe i'm just a rube. i'd love to have gotten the whole fit.

I think I've worn socks with loafers once lifetime lol. Black, brown, green, it doesn't matter. I just can't do it.

The pants were a slubby linen from Epaulet, and up north was a black and white gingham check shirt by Borrelli, an unstructured tissue thin cashmere blazer by LBM1911, and a $1500 Domenico Vacca black bombe alligator belt :)

If you are the guy in Birmingham who donated the three Vestimenta orphans... **** YOU!

Hmm... I usually pass on Vestimentas... Even full suits and SC's. Most of the ones I've seen are kinda meh, and they don't seem to be worth a WHOLE lot on the Bay. I'm sure their recent stuff is alright, but I've just never been impressed with the ones I've seen.

Nah, man. It was just the brand of the day. Today is was Vestimenta. Yesterday it was marital aid Z. And on Friday, it was HF. Same store!!! NEVER donates the pants.

@SpooPoker yeah! If I had more space for clothes I'd prolly have a pair but I need color so I sort of can't afford black right now lol. Otherwise black loafers would require a more or less monochrome ensemble...

As for socks, I always have a pair of shoes to throw on sans. Right now it's a pair of oiled suede gum lite soled rls. Makes me feel free lol

Round three. This place was loaded!

Also gratuitous thrift fit (Patagonia (outlet), Gramicci (Sierra Trading Post), Chaco (REI garage sale).

My rule of thumb when it comes to casual footwear is simple. If the shoes do not have laces, I am not going to be wearing socks. Period.
