NICE SCORE! I miss those Cartier's, there was a time, long lost to us thrifters of today, when these quartz must de cartier watches were cheap and plentiful, generally a Cartier second hand could be had cheap. Once the age of eBay progressed with all the resellers came the days we know today. Simply having the name Cartier on a watch is gonna cost you now. I **** you not, most pawn shops here wouldn't even accept a cartier unless it was some sort of precious metal, and the ones that did had RACKS of quartz must de Cartier watches for low prices. Cartier's watch name Was in the mud for a while, and still has a stigma because its a jewelry brand, real watch guys tend to not take them serious. I always liked the designs though, to me they have more Pizzaz then Rolex, even though everyone agrees about Rolex lol

Big day. Couple of pops. Will get some pics up tomorrow but for now I had to share this.

Not a true thrift but consignment who clearly did not understand what they had. Almost true thrift price.
More tomorrow.

Any vintage cycling fans? This is a super old school (made in USA) Cannondale pullover with kangaroo pouch. Super fly.

Loden wool vest with cool buttons.

Old made in USA LL Bean pullover windbreaker with southwestern style details.

Brooks Brothers leather jacket. Buttery. N/A

Last, but not least, my wife found this killer Stanley hutch for a screaming deal (thrift prices) so she can now display all her thrifted Russell Wright stuff.

@nataku text/pm me next time you are in LA.

Post Nataku finds.

For sure! Honestly I only had a couple days to thrift as my wife booked up the rest of our days doing family and vacation-y things. No vacation is without a couple thrift runs, though. Haven't seen ya on here in awhile! I'll definitely let you know next time I'm in town, which may end up being sooner rather than later. Would love to meet up with another SFer! Nice finds, by the way!

I had the privelage of thrifting with @Nataku. The day started at 4 AM and ended at midnight. Pics of my share later today or tomorrow. Nataku is one Hell of a thrifter and an incredibly nice and generous guy as well. It is going to be hard to go back to my normal thrift circuit.

Thanks man. It was great to meet you. I had fun! Hope to do this again next time. :)

Anyway, on to thrift finds. My wife and I hit some thrifts a couple days and met up with member [@]Gdwilson[/@ ]the day before I left town and showed him around the city, as it was his first time in LA. We had a blast and he is a great guy! Looking forward to meeting up next time! :) Sadly the stores weren't as fruitful as when I had went with my wife earlier in the week as Goodwill was having some sort of flash "All Clothing For $3" sale. Most were cleaned out by the time we got there.

Here's an idea of what 2 1/2 days in LA will get you. Funny enough, I didn't find a single pair of shoes or tie worth buying. Not a single suit either. Goodwill Suit prices are kind of up there ($19.99-25.99 with others separately priced). Sportcoats are about the same price as Minnesota. Shirts and pants are cheaper in LA than in Minnesota.

First, a couple Fueco approved pieces.

You need to wear the Mexican Camo to Donald Trump's next campaign event and see how he reacts.

Been passing on PS shirts, but this purple glen plaid is my size and nice.

Mon-POP! only a polo, but cool and my size.

Big win for today, recently resoled Alden for BB shell loafers.
