No thrifting today, but I did get to see Willie Nelson in concert, fittingly in the smoke filled bowl at the Greek Theater at UC Berkeley.

A while back we were doing throwbacks.

Here's mine. I know within a few weeks that this is 19 years ago almost exactly. And this is about as close as I'm likely ever to get to posting my full face on the interwebz. It's just about the only picture of my face I've ever liked. It's distorted because I've blown it up to cut out other stuff (including feet -- you're welcome Spoo). I wasn't even bar legal in this picture. No comment as to where I was roughly an hour after this photo was taken.
Apropos of our discussion on logo'd stuff, that shirt was the uniform for the crew I was rowing on about 4 weeks before the photo was taken.
Fun fact: I'm now pulling erg splits just about the same as I was when this photo was taken. Not bad for a 40 year old guy to match his college self.

OK so I know you want the fender cover but I may also be able to part with this. This is an official licensed pit crew shirt from 1996 when Schumacher (world's best driver) came to ferrari and stole the Spanish grand prix in his first season in the coveted f310. These are extremely rare even more rare in black. These aren't crappy iron on patches these are embroidered into the shirt. Whenever they have Vodafone and fila as a sponsor it's old and ****.

I got all excited.
I thought those were old-skool thru-hole resistors.

I woulda bin all ober dat shiz.

Any electrical engineers/electronics/components/semiconductor guys on here?

Kind of, I am an EE but haven't actually worked on HW for 13 years or so. Did a stint as a software engineer, then a post sales engineer doing network designs and installs (best job ever, I filled 3 passports and travelled to 55 countries in 7 years). Last few years I moved into sales as a Pre-Sales engineer job. All of this on the same platform, 14 years now. I can't say same company since it was a start up that got purchased by one of the top 3 IT companies.

I find them randomly at thrifts. But, as far as retail is concerned, JAB has buy 1 get 2 sales quite frequently. That brings them down to $8.33 per pair. If you get to know your local JAB manager, they will often let you have them at that price whenever you want them. They are the same re-branded Woodlore trees that you get at Nordstrom, Allen Edmonds, etc.
