Pretty much everyone here would have left 99% of what you bought....
Guess I've got quite low standards ,then

The "best" brands I see around here in thrift shops are things like Hugo Boss, Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, etc, but they're quickly picked and often not my size. And since I only buy for myself, pickings are quite slim. I'm pretty happy to see Zara or Old Navy or Levi.
Or is it my impeccable taste?

I like some of those ties. The first ones are neats, which refers to the pattern, but they probably aren't madder. If they're matte enough, you can wear them like madders, though, so it's all good. I dig the wool stripe.

Like, if you're starting out shopping for yourself, that's a fairly wearable haul. I dunno how much of it will be getting much wear in a year, but that remains to be seen.

Thanks for the help. The ties are pretty matte and feel light and dry, but my favorite ties are the wool ones.
The wool scarves were thrifted this fall, and I've worn them a lot. The camel one with navy peacoat, barbour one with brown leather jacket.
What would you suggest I look for, and what stuff do I need? I've also got a navy flannel suit and grey flannel trousers but they need to be tailored.

Since you guys like Hermes scarves, would you mind giving your opinion on this one? Weight is good and everything seems right to me but hell if I know.

Is this a scarf or pocket square? Its about 26x26 so I am assuming its a scarf, price check/offers would be appreciated.
It's a scarf. Pocket Squares max out at 17" I believe.

Best way to get info about it is to look it up on ebay. "Burberry Novacheck silk scarf" See what others have posted when selling. Filter by sold listings. That's what most people here do when they are curious about an item, unless it's something very obscure that you are not likely to find or only rarely appears on eBay.
