Last couple weeks, some pops which is cool, only thing older is shoes, because I hate dealing with them.
Denim Wah Maker

Filson Western Mac Vest

Brunello Cucinelli Cotton Pants #1

Brunello Cucinelli Cotton pants #2, same donor as above.

Filson Jac Shirt

POP! Only a cotton sweatshirt but it is Moncler!

Cordings Cotton pants, thrift synergy with Spoo?

Grenson for Paul Stuart loafers, also a POP for Grenson!

Loro Piana Cotton/Linen Pants

Alden pebble grain wingtips

Nice Hermes, always nice finding these.

Engineered Garments, not a true POP! since I found a sweatshirt a few days earlier but like the whole back had been cut out.

Time to head out for the day before work!

With regards to pressing a 3-button jacket into a 2-button.... It CAN be done pretty well on some jackets. I sold a nice Zegna 3-btn suit jacket awhile back that been pressed / rolled to a 2-button. It almost fooled me, but then I looked closely. You can tell by the button-hole stitching. 1 side of the button-hole (the outside) will be finished looking and pretty uniformly sewn. The backside will be a bit more rough and crude looking (especially with hand-stitched button holes). The jacket looked really nice, and I've seen several other jackets with the same thing done to them that also looked nice.

However... when pressing / rolling a 3-button jacket into a 2-button... You can't deny the underlying structure of the lapels. Most quality jackets will have a thicker chest plate / padding in them that extends to just the edge of under the lapel. The lapel itself always seems to be a bit thinner, and of course it's folded over. When you have a 3-btn jacket that's been rolled into a 2-btn, you can still sort of feel / see that thicker underlying padding in the chest plate being rolled out into the lapel (if that makes sense). With thinner / worsted / smoother fabrics, it's more apparent. With thicker / flanneled fabrics it's not noticeable at all really... and it depends on the exact maker and construction.

"Generally" you can roll the lapels of a nice jacket down a bit into a more 2-btn looking style... But it will never be a true 2/3 roll. Just my experience. Your experience may differ.

*Edit: 400 Pages!

Loving how fast this thread is advancing... so much great stuff posted... But if you miss a couple days, you are lost lol.
I wouldn't like to see a true 3/2 in Zegna, that doesn't make sense to me, it's a vintage BB look IMO. I like to roll those with steam unless it's so obvious that it's a hard 3, then I don't bother.

400 pages? You need to switch to 100 posts per page. I'm on 60.

I do wear an 11.5. If @txwoodworker accepts Cats, I'll go get several to trade!
must... not... make... *****... joke...
Shooz are available for non-cat related $/trade.

I've redonated several bags of that stuff, and gotten receipts for tax deductions. Thought about keeping some of it for if I ever have a garage sale...but I only have garage sales when I move, which I don't plan on anytime soon. Not worth the time to list on eBay, takes up too much space, and it feels good to just get rid of it.
I've got a **** ton of shirts that I bought for myself when I didn't really know what size I was. Lots of BB, some JCrew, a few others. I'm going to try the Buffalo Exchange thing this afternoon and see if I can get at least a portion of my money back on them.

Camp the **** out of that store (if it was a brand new Jag).

I've only seen rich dudes dropping **** off a few times... Once saw an older dude in an SL-55 AMG dropping off a single large box at a thrift. Camped that store for a couple days, but nothing good ever turned up. Looks like you may have hit a good run. I would return to that store multiple times a day for a week if I were you... if the store wasn't too far out of the way. Sick Brioni!

I've found out the hard way that expensive houses and cars does not mean good taste in clothing and household items. Saw a guy yesterday get into a newer Ferrari and he had cut-off sweat pant shorts and a really ugly graphic t-shirt. If said guy in expensive guy is wearing a nice dress shirt, suit, etc.....well, then I'd camp!

There's a local thrift store that always has new BMW's, Mercedes, Lexus, etc in the lot. This is probably the most heavily flipped thrift store in the state as well. Rich folks plunking down $150 for a 25 year old Burberry trench coat thinking they got a deal. :roll eyes:

Same lesson learned here.

Went to an estate sale that was absolutely amazing. World traveller types with expensive furniture, (what I'm assuming was) expensive art, and extremely high-end electronics. They had mementos from parts of the world I can't even pronounce and they were selling off their home and everything in it because they wanted to live the rest of their lives travelling.

The closet's most high-end items were things like Perry Ellis and Nautica. So much sadness.

In the future I'd probably do a little research. If the guy had a job where clothing might matter (corporate ladder type job) then I'd check out the estate sale. Same for drop-offs. Whenever I see someone in a high-end vehicle drop off clothing at my GW, I take note of what he's wearing first before I decide it's worth camping

This. One of the guys who run the liquor store down the streets drive a Jaguar and routinely wears track suits.

Is a 34-35 sleeve length easily adjustable to a 32-33 sleeve length?
