It's been said before but I'll say it again. Who the hell donates this stuff!? Wow!

glad to see this thing is still rocking and rolling! Hope everyone is well :)

Haven't been on the hunt in a while but hoping to start back up soon! If any of you SF bay area folks see a black CTS-V in your local thrift store parking lots you know i already snaked the good stuff!!! HAHAHA

Long time no see! Glad to hear you're still in the game. How are things there compared to Dallas? Good to see ya back. Also, did you upgrade your thrift mobile? I thought you had a Camero or Trans Am?

Anybody have any 35"-36" leather belts they'd like to move? I keep thinking I'll run into a few, but no dice. I'm looking to replace my entire rotation so I need black, tan, and burgundy 1.25"-1.5" wide. Thanks for any help!

More/better pics of today's stuff tomorrow. Second pair of suedes this week. Not as cool as the Church's I found but I like these.

They may not be as "cool", but they are certainly valuable. Bragano shoes have somewhat of a following and they don't mind paying tidy sums for shoes that they want. As a matter of fact, most of my CH Bragano shoes, on average, sell for more than my Church's offerings.

Right? That was also a big pop! It had to be the same guy as all the brioni aka also my size. If he's into Japanese stuff too I think I'm gonna live in this store for awhile.

Its surprisingly not that uncommon for people to post stuff from brands that have little to no retailers in the country it was found. This one got me really excited to see someone find, stoked for you hopefully theres more to come. Some crazy ass finds this week can't wait to see what people dig up over the weekend.

I'd pass on all
I think you did well to pass on those suits. Early on I bought a bunch of Mani suits and had them altered. Got wear out of them but that money could have been better spent.
All good passes. Welcome to the thread.
Thanks all. Makes me feel better. I see names like Faconnable and Zegna and my pulse quickens. Still figuring out what's worth grabbing.

As promised, here's a handful of the ties I've gotten in the past. I don't go thrifting that often, so I probably miss out on the best stuff. Still, I do it for fun mostly, and my wardrobe has benefited no doubt. All available unless noted.
Reis of New Haven - this one is pretty long.

Nice thick BB.

A couple two-tone Hilfigers. Also nice thick material.

Definitely vintage coarse wool from Scotland.

BB.

Never heard of, but feels nice.

I grew up a VW guy. Couldn't resist. Can't find any info on, but I figure someday someone will want it.

Polo.

Linerless tie, super shiny silk.

Faconnable

I always pick up anything that's marked as "Hand-Blocked in England" but other than that, I recognize nothing about this tie.

Linerless BB. I love the linerless ties, but they're always too short for me. I"d love to get my hands on a reasonable-length one. Sold. N/A

Funky Chicken Rooster. Sold. N/A

BB - Sold N/A

Fendi - Sold N/A

My first Zegna. Felt really nice. Wore it once and sold. Liked the money better. N/A

BB - Sold N/A

My second Zegna. Ugly. Sold. N/A

I don't have pics of the ties I decided to keep, but I have a T&A and a bunch of BB on my rack.

Also, the only 7-fold tie I have is a pink/blue striped Burma Bibas. I love it, but the silk gets small pulls easily. The knotted string trick fixes it no problem, but I have to repair it nearly every time I wear it. Might be Available if anyone wants to see it. Can't be bothered any more.

I agree. I think at this point, you learn from your mistakes.
