I hear ya. But why do I have to suffer as a result?

No one's forcing you to read it. Your "suffering" was self-induced.

You are correct. Before I started reading it, I did not know what topics he would cover. I was hoping that he would eventually get around to writing about clothing and fashion trends. Now, I know better and will avoid reading these articles in the future.

@Synthese writing makes me happy, as he hates everyone as much as I do.

he's a pretend hater though

Can anyone recommend some nice Pima or supima cotton briefs, preferably lower rise? I used to wear some from Banana Republic, which were surprisingly nice, but they don't seem to offer them anymore. I'm thinking about some from Uniqlo, but the contrasting band is a bit much.

We do cover that as well, but @Synthese 's travelogues are much more in the way of a Hunter S. Thompson's gonzo journalism.

When you read about fashion events from PR agencies, it's always so sanitized and everyone is so happy and excited to be there and how excellent everything is - it's like the Oscars  - essentially, a productiion.  Nothing wrong with that - I like to see the glitz as well - but there is a lot of that out there, and it's very rare that you get someone who is being paid independently (bloggers are generally not, incidentally) who will give you the goods on not just the good, but also the bad, the ugly, and sometimes the plain bizarre, of attending fashion events.  I think that it's not only valuable, but also fun.

If you want to read just about the stores, read my article: http://www.styleforum.net/a/a-primer-of-five-of-the-best-menswear-stores-in-paris

I love reading Synthese's writing. Maybe it's because there's such saturation from everywhere else about clothes/ trends/ whatever, but it's nice to hear from someone who's writing about the experience. Especially since he seems so miserable all the time.

I do not read Synth's articles to hear about clothes. I would be somewhat disappointed if they were mostly about clothes.

I had the same problem with Winston Churchill.

I have other problems with Churchill:

I read Synth's articles to vicariously experience disappointment.
