i'm being a being a bit hyperbolic here, but the construction/fabric does not reflect the high pricing. I can count the number of Rick stuff I own that hasn't required (sometimes quite serious) repair on one hand. At $2000-3000 for jackets coats, $700-1000 for pants, etc. it's just ridiculous, especially when compared to "artisanal" brands like Layer-0 and LUC or even other factory-produced brands like Attachment which are 1/3 to 1/2 the price.

it's made to disintegrate its part of the ethos all my rick cashmere has tears i wear it like that. the more expensive leathers are very well made as is all my outerwear, pants, etc. i have 350+ rick items and only one required repair (broken zipper pull)

wish I had your luck, I've had

- shredded lining on two leathers
- wool cuffs on leathers developing lots of holes
- waistband drawstring hole tear on pants
- pocket tear on other pants
- geobasket zipper broke
- all sneaker soles wearing down very fast

etc. etc.

I love rick but i'm not paying retail

We're talking construction, although for my money I'd rather buy DH than RO anyway.

This!

Re Rick quality, I have/had/handled jeans, leather jackets and the geos, everything was solid. Especially The reverse calf stooges from few years back. Gumsole geos this year were built like a rock. I've heard bad things about Rick but haven't experienced.

@nicelynice agreed L0 n LUC make better quality but the look is different.

my new goal is to determine if I even have 350 total items in my life and then stay well under that number

If we count each sock and each shoe I'm at less than half.

I'm a completionist and probably have aspergers. I have 3000 marvel legends action figures and 400 pairs of Jordan's

any suggestions for a no bs combat boot? Commando/lug sole, wide last, all black. No contrast stitching, cap toe, 23 eyelets, etc.

Other than books, I don't think I could ever find something to buy every month or so, like a belt. There's too much I nitpick about.

Does anyone have any Craig Green stuff? I like some of his wide pants with straps and what not. I noticed a lot of his fabrics are nylon or poly. I think Maas & Stacks carries a few things and may go check them out tomorrow.

I'm a fan of what he's doing but I'm too big and broad for his stuff.

I think diniro has posted some Craig Green stuff before here and on IG
