I think mine was probably Nike Sock Darts, but if I can mention something from the store then it was definitely the Document robe coat

Probably my Rick Stooges though there is also something else that I've purchased but not received

Back to luggage discussion. Does anyone have a suggestion for a rolling garment bag? Does not necessarily need to be carry on sized. I guess this is more CM than SWD, but I would like to be able to get 2 suits, 2 pairs of shoes, plus ties and accessories in there safely.

Sage de Cret duffel. Stretchy wool is the greatest

Favourites:

This has been the year of German clothes and heavy black cord for me, so my FHB cord "Ulf" cord jacket wins, even though I consider getting one in a size down..

Meindl "Sasel" shoes. Perfect mix of rugged Teutonics and relative elegance. And super comfortable.

Filson black briefcase. Bought in February, and been used almost every day since.

and Our Legacy black "salt washed" shorts + black Birks "arizona" for the entire summer.

Osaka: eat all the local specialties. A lot of stores, the one I remember is fascinate and The R. I can't remember others.

Apparently my friend takes boat from HK to nearby islands to try different restaurants because it's so convenient. There is a big mall that has lots of interesting stuff. Google giant panda statue to find it (unfortunately the statue was moved)
Ink is in HK

Around 4 or 5 you'll see lots of people with cameras stalking the alleys and streets of Gion searching for elusive geishas (I guess this is around the time geishas leave their apartments for their appointments?). In any event, it's kinda dehumanizing and I felt pretty bad for the geishas.

If you have the time, it can be nice to make the day trip from Kyoto to Nara.  The daibutsuden at Todai-ji is impressive and the deer around town are neat to interact with (although they get annoying after awhile).  Lots of cultural stuff, although not much shopping.  It may not be worth it if your schedule is tight.

Silver and Gold is pretty cool, the one in Umeda is in an area that has a toooooon  of stores. Further midtown there's Nepenthes which is worth a look (and a dope women's store down the block but unfortunately I can't find the details on Google Maps).

Had some of the best pizza of my life at some random Napolitean spot close to Dotonbori, and in general every single food item we had was delicious. Okonomiyaji ftw

Thanks for the recommendations guys, I appreciate it. We'll see how it goes.

My flight is in four hours and I haven't slept yet. Massive jetlag, here I come!

Sleep like you would, where you are going, it will kill most of the jetlag of.

oh yeah, go to Giro Giro for what NY Times calls modern kaiseki. Foreigner friendly (there's Paris location and they share staff) and to this day one of the best meals I've had. With the weak yen it came out to like <$40 iirc.

The latest "insane sorority video" has one girl wearing what, at first glance, looks like a custom fuccboi off white/HBA/been trill longsleeve shirt.

Turns out it's not really that, but goddamn, if i was a young enterprising frat bro, I'd totally start a business selling customizable fuccboi wear to frats and sorrorities.
