There's already quite a few brands making cheap approximations of Viberg/Visvim footwear.

Everlane started out selling polos to men, but i think probably quickly realized the limited and competitive market.

You are out of your gourd if you think that guys will buy those shoes.  Maybe something that looks more like a Vans slip on, but then where are the margins?  Vans already only cost $45-65 for standard pairs.  And even then, you run into the branding problem.  If a dude is going to buy designer kicks, he is going to buy designer kicks.  It he wants a pair of beat-arounds, he is going to go with a storied brand like Converse or Vans.

I think that Everlane stands a better chance with boots that look like Vibergs or Rancourts or Oak Street Bootmakers.  If they could get do a little more urban, less preppy (which is trending down,) version of J Crew, sans the tailoring, which is a PITA for many reasons, they could possibly expand their mens' offerings

I don't think the skepticism is 100% reasonable here. Greats was able to convince a bunch of male customers that a relatively unknown brand with budget goods can offer a similar value proposition to established luxury brands, and with huge success.

And from where are you basing your point that men will only buy into a Vans-alike or a workboot? Everlane's women's shoes aren't even that outlandish. A penny loafer, sandals, and slip-ons with a wedge sole? These are pretty classic shapes. Any of the tried-and-true mens' shoe shapes can fit into Everlane's brand story.

Honestly, Everlane just needs to reach a point where it can start testing men's products in small batches. Something just needs to happen for the company to believe menswear is an area worth investing in.

HP has a lot of more conservative enterprise clients. Shrug.

HP sees the future crashing toward them and decides to stick their head in the sand. HP's got no cloud, so they're fucked.

Best rock power ballads of all time, in no particular order.

1. Don't you know what you got (until it's gone) - Cinderella
2. November Rain (Guns 'n' Roses)
...

I've had a few drinks and a hamburger. Ironic listening is not an option.
