Clegg is nice. MMM is nice. I just picked up a shrunken calf Mulberry clipper.

Either mu Google-fu is terrible, or nobody carries Stephan Schneider in Hong Kong any more.

I'm thinking it's the former.

I.T stopped carrying it, and another small shop that carried the brand closed down, if I recall.

Barbour bags aren't bad for the price, but the metal fixings are pretty grim and don't last long. Having said that I've yet to find anyone that uses dog-clips that stand up to reasonable use (suggestions welcome!).

Stumbled upon the Studio D'Artisan store in Osaka last weekend while doing some New Years traveling and am a firm believer in their menswear brand ORGUEIL now. Everything made in Japan, top quality 1930s style Americana gear and fits really slim - a 38 on my wiry frame was perfect. Honestly fills a similar niche to FW14 Junya but unsurprisingly costs much less.

Couldn't resist and bought their 'Old Surge Jacket', fits like a dream and is pure quality, as you'd expect from Studio D'Artisan.

The "random fashion thought" in here is that it's gratifying to find something that really resonates with you aesthetically without having been told by someone else that it's good. So much out there, especially in Japan, I have yet to discover.

Orgueil means pride but is purely pejorative (i.e. arrogance).

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably give them a shot, although I wish the necklines were a little lower. (I can't stand to wear anything that goes above the tips of my collarbones. Not sure why. I should probably seek therapy.)
