Since I vaguely remember that you're from Kingston, @LA Guy: are you watching The Tragically Hip concert right now?

More importantly, for those with an Apple Music sub, how is Blond(e)? And..hmmm...to keep it on topic how are the clothes

I'm really enjoying it. Nikes gets better every time I listen to it, Ivy is absolutely beautiful and White Ferrari is also stellar. Lots of strong tracks on here and I feel like I will only enjoy it more with time. One listen in and then some and I can tell it'll be one of the better albums I've heard this year.

Oh and regarding clothes, I want more shoes but don't need more shoes. Guess that never changes.

Been buying a lot of CM clothes and no SWD clothes for a while now (almost all year). Feels weird because I identify as a SWD guy but yet my recent purchases say otherwise

^^been selling my CM to fund some SWD purchases.

When did Frank Ocean get so big? I feel like this Blonde / Boys Don't Cry was hyped like a Kanye release. This is a great album, but it's pretty low key - I can't imagine following along casually and being blown away by this. Or maybe I'm out of touch

He has kept delaying it and delaying it and then came the memes and the hype.

Steven Alan makes some really nice stuff, seems like it would fit in with Lemaire/Schneider.

Edit: Wait, what? I just checked the US site - looks like J. Crew. Is it a completely different brand in Japan?

Turns out, Lemaire/ Schneider are just the J. Crew/ Club Monaco of Japan.

No, but in my undergrad, they used to play Old Fort Henry, back in the day - I went to Queens 1993-1997. Sci97!

If anyone lives in Chicago, I recommend visiting Gallery Aesthete in Wicker Park near corner of Division and Damen.

It stocks hard to find (at least in Chicago) brands like Julius, Lost&Found, BBS, CdG, Issey, and better Rick buys than the Chicago Barneys/Neimans. The staff is very nice and were willing to walk me through some of the more directional stuff. I dont know the store stays in business as I cannot imagine 99% of dudes in Chicago wearing any of this stuff, but I really like the store's inventory.

A lot of stores exist virtue of the internet these days, and the physical plant is important, but not for the walkthrough traffic, or sometimes, not at all.  Think of something like Tres Bien.  Malmo is hardly a bustling metropolis, and they actually had a bit of a fracas with Ralph Lauren when not allowed to sell RRL online, a number of years ago now.  From that original retail base, they've been growing a brand of their own, including a fragrance business.

Ahh, gotcha.

Not sure if you heard/care, but they played their final concert in Kingston last night. I can't claim to be a fan, but I remember watching the Hip's music videos on MuchMusic back in the '90s as an elementary schooler so I always had an appreciation for them.

I was listening to the concert via CBC Radio while driving and I was tempted to just drive around for an hour or so while listening. Opted to find shelter to catch the live stream. They did three encores!

I have been following them since I was in high school, when Road Apples came out.  I haven't been following them recently, but man, they've had a long run.
