Enzo Bonafe Handmade Shoes. - Page 170

Hi guys, just an update.

Lorenzo had sent me pictures of the respective swatches so can get a better idea of what they look like side by side:

Vitello blue with blue hatch grain

The Vitello Blue can also be burnished / darkened to bring it closer to the shade of blue hatch grain - as seen here.

Vitello Etrusco with Sienna hatch grain

Vitello Meleze with brown hatch grain

Etrusco and sienna look so good as does the blue combo.

Be careful of the Sienna hatch grain. It has the same finishing problems as the StC Russian calf. Stick with other colors.

Sienna specifically? What sort of finishing issues?

To me, the bal boots would be my dressy winter boots to go with suits on a daily basis. Not sure about adding "informality"...

Bm93, what are your thoughts?

Guys, who else is in? I believe 6 are needed to order from Skoak...

I really want the 804 last, so that would be a dealbreaker for me. The others things aren't deal breakers. I'd definitely prefer a leather or leather/topy sole and a plain captoe, but toe medallion is ok with me. Speed hooks, I don't mind either way.

To me the 804 is not a deal breaker. I really like it, it's dressy as I need. Leather or leather/ topy sole is ok, so is a captoe or a medallion. I'd really prefer having no speed hooks.

What have you got to say? We're looking at similar make ups and it makes sense to go on, or not?

Yes Sienna specifically. The finish (supposedly, so I have been told) comes off very quickly with any sort of gentle scrape or nick. I don't know for certain since I didn't order it, but that's what I was told.

EB Jodhpur boot with alligator strap !!

@TtownMD awesome look. Out of curiosity, how much does the strap (obviously being exotic skin) add to the cost?

I don't know the exact figure from top of my head, but it was not bad at all Eric.

Gentlemen,

How do you find the EB 74945 last to fit in contrast to the 946 and 804?

Thanks.

Thanks.

So I find the 946 and 74945 last to be similar in length but the 946 cramps my toes a little bit. The 74945 last does not. The 804 last is longer than either of them and perhaps a touch wider, but I suppose the extra length makes it look sleeker to me. I think the instep of the 946 and 804 are similar with the instep of the 74945 being slightly lower.

I prefer both the 74945 and the 804 lasts to the 946 in terms of fit and looks.

MTO from SoleGarb, plain toe two-eyelet derby in Navy Shell Cordovan, 946E last. Here are a few recent shots, apologies for the iPhone quality pictures.
