I feel the same way. I would just like to see these boots get made though. Hopefully we get one more.

what's the welt on #3? is it norvegese (chained or otherwise) or a flat welt with an upturned lip ('storm  welt"). wasnt clear in the makeup (because u/thatisgrossman's model has a norvegese welt but the cleverley's dont)

I'd be in if it were *not*  norvegese (http://cdn.styleforum.net/4/45/500x1000px-LL-458f7854_EB-2475-Grain-01.jpeg) or bentivegna (http://www.claymoorslist.com/wp-content/uploads/900x900px-LL-213702e8_3571modifiedTanned-Grainlowres1.jpg)

I agree - the clevery's look awesome, including the storm welt (which is just a flat welt with an upturned lip like this http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0277/2511/products/Enzo-Bonafe-Derby-Suede-01B_1024x1024.jpg?v=1427272595) but I am worried that it'll instead  be made per u/thatisgrossman's welt style (which is actually norvegese, and doesnt have a welt strip).

I'm open to any welt style (flat or storm) as long as its not norvegese or bentivegna. Is is possible to verify that?

Sounds like we have our third, as all three of us are happy with the storm welt! @wklq76a, what do we need to do to get @sleepyinsanfran in for the order?

It will be a storm welt for sure. Lorenzo from Solegarb knows the difference. I've put an order through with him for a couple of pairs of EBs already.

good to know! Will PM wklq76a

BTW - can we specifically ask for a Veg-tanned calf lining (instead of chrome-tanned linings) for this makeup? (much better for long-term foot health)

I always thought that veg tanned lining was standard on EB.

good to know. Still worth mentioning I think, because these things change as makers expand in volume (an example is zonkey, who use chrome linings now as the default unless veg-tanned linigs are specifically requested).

(Also it's easy to coordinate that since all three of the people going in on the makeup are right here on this thread :-)  )

I don't know anything about the lining of EB. In fact, I don't own any EB. I'm definitely on board with the veg-lined calf if it's not already standard, though.

I'm just hoping you coordinate with wklq76a by Sunday because I think we need to have everyone committed by then!

The Enzo Bonafe 363MOD last I tried on was a little narrower in the toe box than the Carmina Rain in the same size.  However, the instep on the 363MOD was roomier than the Carmina Rain so you should be fine.

Sorry it took awhile for me to post these pictures.

LtoR: EB 363MOD in 7UK, Carmina Rain in 7.5EE, AE 65 last in 8E. I lined up the back of the shoe (heel cup) and they are all about the same overall length.

To give you an idea of the instep, I wore the shoes and put them side by side. Notice that the eyestays on the 363MOD are almost closed.
