The distribution seems to be very low and the associated risks and costs of returning a shoe that doesn't fit would seem to be unnecessarily stressful.

From a quick google I cannot see any trunk shows so is it just a matter of trial and error if you are in a country that does not stock EB (such as England)?

You email us and we'll help you. We export about 400 pairs of Bonafé every year so our experience is extensive. biggrin.gif

There are no Bonafé retailers in the UK as far as I know. The return cost for the shoes from the UK to Sweden is pretty low if you use Royal Mail.

Thanks - that's good to know.

What would you say your success rate is with estimating/calculating customer's EB sizes from other brands such as GG and EG?

We have very few returns.

Well, returns aren't permitted for MTOs and people usually just sell on the secondary market because shipping back to Sweden is a pain

Naturally, ready to wear is the way to go before committing to MTO.

I don't know why it's a hassle to ship to Sweden. Walk into a post office and send the parcel. smile.gif

I've had to return a couple of pairs to Skoak on the road to then buying, uh, quite a bit more than a couple. I think it was $30 from the US for a pair and Skoak is very easy to work with.

If you are really after proper fit and quality footwear. I bet you $100 that if you fly to Stockholm and meet the fine blocks @Skoaktiebolaget to figure out you size across all brands, your wallet will thank you big time in the long term.

I bet you are right. I already have my correct size in G&G and EG and am currently waiting on the UK Trunk Show for St. Crispin's to determine my correct size before committing to a MTO.

They are very good with it if you know a size in any of the other brands.

I was recommended to size down half a size from G&G and EG. Unfortunately, they only have 6 and 8 in the styles I was looking at in stock and I'm a 7E in both G&G and EG - I'm waiting for February's (potential) delivery of EB.
