Enzo Bonafe Handmade Shoes. - Page 115

^^^ Excellent choice gents - best of luck - I'm good in the dark brown dress shoe category, but I applaud the choice.

I had to go with Skoak's black version of that.  The hidden stitching is just gorgeous.  That might be the perfect dress shoe.

It is perfect.  So perfect you probably need dark brown as well. :)

I have the black version. They are awesome. Don't really need more dark brown cap toes but I'm very tempted...

I might be interested. Can anyone opine on any noticeable fit differences between the 804 last and the 946 last or the 363mod?

I find the 804 to run longer than the 946 last.  Some down 1/2 size but I did not and am still happy with the fit.  The 804 looks very sleek but I swear I have more room for my toes than the 946.  Its probably just the extra length though.

I think the 804 might have a slightly lower instep than the 363MOD. At their widest point, they're the same width, but the 804 tapers more aggressively to a point.  For me they fit quite similarly.

Here's some 804 vs 363MOD shots (both 9.5UK).  I don't own anything on the 946 unfortunately.

Note the spectator (the 804 last) is on a thinner single leather sole, and also has a 270 welt vs a 360 on the suede wingtip (363MOD) which is on dainite.  So while they look to have different heights in the first picture I think that's due to the sole thickness.  Similar with width.

Oh wow so you take same size in both last 804 & 363.

Yup. I think my big issue is just that I have a high instep.  Enzo's lasts work for me great in that regard.  Length and width haven't been an issue.  Right now I have two pairs on the 363MOD last (those suede wingtips and black shell longwings) and those spectators.  Still waiting on a pair of black peccary button boots on the 74945 and some sand suede jodhpurs on the 363MOD....  And the current black dress shoe GMTO. :)  But both 804 and 363MOD work very well for me.  I'm hoping the 74945 is similar.

What is going on with your bb? I go half size down for 804 last in EB boot. And have no experience with 363 mod last.

Got an email from Skoak back in September that it was delayed due to the number of participants in the GMTO (I guess it was pretty popular) and the limited amount of black peccary in the market.  So who knows when it will show up... I'm guessing they're waiting on sourcing more black pecccary?

Thanks for the responses gents. 363mod chukkas fit great for me, but I could use a tiny bit of toe room.

The 804 may fit the bill. I also like the look of the dress shoe on the 74945 last that Skoaktiebolaget has in stock. For the guys interested in this makeup in dark brown - any reason that you prefer the 804 for this makeup? I guess I'm OK with both. I'm looking to try both lasts eventually anyway. Just curious.

It also seems a lot of makers do their boots a half size larger or so, maybe to accommodate thicker socks?  I know I had this problem with my Carmina Rain Chelseas.  Too big in 9.5UK when 9.5UK shoes fit snugly.

I think the 804 is just a sleeker, sexier version of this shoe.  Compare (74945 last):

to (804 last):

Edit: Actually I think the 2nd picture of the 804 last is actually the 74945 and they copied it for the GMTO, so I'm gonna remove that.  I think there were some other pictures of the 804 dress shoe a few pages back, and they're definitely sleeker and better looking IMO.

Which is fine but if lot of. Maker are doing that then they should mention this for sizing. What size did you go for your jodhpurs boot?
