@Monty L Wow really!? That's really incredible because it's exactly the same to the last detail. Some extra deets on mine are brown edge with a rounded waist on both sides. A good example of it would be the suede Chelseas on Skoak's site now. I'm one of those guys who dislikes the bulkiness of the EB welt.

Very nice. I see lazy mans as being a bit citified so I spec'd mine with black sole edges, single leather beveled waist with the waist also blacked. Between the extra burnishing and the use of black saphir I'm intending, these will be something of an emerald black city suit shoe after some wear and pigmentation.
As I sit here caring for my favorite boots, and gearing up to order some more, I can't help but post some long term wear impressions about my EB button boots. This pair came to me last spring and was used preferentially on wet days in summer and now see use about twice weekly in my rotation of footwear for school/hospital rounds. I intended for them to see quite a bit of wear as my go to black pair for formal occasions and as a fairly conservative option with wet weather capabilities (thank you rubber soles). Despite all of this use and abuse, they have shown minimal creasing and the leather has held up beautifully. I might also add that they broke in extremely well despite fitting very snugly in the forefoot at first. As for the soles, I tend to cause a lot of heel wear and the Bonafé issue "dainite" has held up better than the R1 soles on the EG shanklins I received at around the same time and which have seen similar use. In all, I am deeply impressed with the durability of these boots as I am a rough operator. No buttons have come loose and the leather has held up to repeated abuse and moisture (city puddles and rainy days) with only consistent use of non lasted trees and shoe cream + neutral wax on occasion.
The day I received them
Those are really looking great! I wish the round of GMTOs that went out in the spring would get finished soon. Last I heard they had some issues with not having enough black peccary. :( So who knows how long the wait will be...
you'll love it.
i think the only thing i'd do if i were to do it all over was do rubber sole and 804 last. but i have zero regrets doing that lama-museum combo
