Stefan88 even though I am not size 10UK. How do you like EB gator quality? Was thinking about getting some but was not sure what brand to go with.

And for direct sunlight pics, simply rotate yourself around the subject 180 degrees so that you are photographing the side that catches the sun, rather than the side that falls in shadow.

It's very good. Costly, as all gator, but I have (apart from them being a bit small) been very happy.

Thanks man, I really need some other Balmoral boots in black for 2016 and  EB is always in my mind for those.

Definitely preferable to a backlit shot, but IME strong direct sunlight tends to wash out colour, contrast and detail. Shooting in a shaded area with abundant natural light is best. My "steps" shots are all dobe when said steps are shaded, not when they are in direct light.

Gentlemen,

I just wanted to a remark regarding the recent discussions about EB.

My Whiskey Cordovan EB bal boots are the most elegant and finest made boots I have ever handled in all my life.

So much so that I am having Skoak make me some more.

Although I cannot comment as to the quality of their MC, their shell offerings are superb.

Thanks.
