Quick background on these;-
have just acquired them for the princely sum of £15 including the original wax polished shoe trees. I have emailed Lobb with shoe number and they confirm that they were made by them bespoke in 1995 - cost today £10k plus VAT!!

Unfortunately they are a little on the large side for me so I'm looking to get them cleaned up and up for sale.

Firstly, with exotic skin is a cream the best way to go? Can anyone recommend a good product?
Can anyone tell me the uk size with the measurement of the Outsole? I'll add this later.
Would ebay be the best way to sell them? Mindful of value and possible hassles associated.

Thanks in advance

There's a Saphir Reptan cream but the people at Corthay HK say that Saphir creams are okay.

Let me know if they fit a UK9 :) But seriously somebody elses bespoke shoes (expensive though they may have been) do not fetch as much as you think.

Managed to source the Reptan cream by Saphir and am really pleased with results after just one round of polishing.

The measurements for the outsole are 33.5cm by 11.5cm; if anyone can tell me what uk size this equates to in John Lobb that would be awesome.

Wow, really nice. My guess would be UK12 to UK13, just by outsole measurments.
Would you be willing to post more pictures?
Where does one find such treasures?

Thanks

Too big for a uk9. Probably 10.5-11 or so

The uppers really are in great shape, no marks or scratches.

Looks good, but don't be too optimistic price wise

Really sorry, can a mod clean up the duplicate postings. I'm not used to using forums.

Many thanks
