So UNIS Gios are not vanity sized correct?

once again, just get your usual size. If you're a 30 in most pants, get a 30 in the gios, etc.

My waist measures 30 and I take a 29 in the Gio skinny. I'm a 30 in Epaulet. I do wear 29 in most raw denim (sometimes 28)...and 29 in most Wings + Horns (notorious vanity sizing) but for the most part I am a true 30.

I say size down 1 from your actual waist size.

I disagree, but to each their own.

I own 5 pairs of Gios and all fit me TTS. After a few wears I can see how they might loosen up a bit, but unless you are in between sizes, like say 30/32 I would just go with your true size.

I agree with Spencer and others here. Absolutely TTS.

Same here.. I own three pairs (including 1 pair of skinnies from this season) and all are TTS.

Also to MMSneaker - what do you mean "my waist measures 30" if you really mean your actual waist then that's useless - since almost no one wears stuff at their waist these days and different brands/models of pants are going to have varying rises and sit at different points of the body. IMO garment measurements are the best way to go as people are going to measure themselves differently but everyone's probably going to measure the waist on a pair of pants the same way.

well i am between a 33 and 34 and wear my chinos with a very slight sag so i'm guessing a 33 would probably be my best bet.

So I just got a pair of gio's and they really are a great fitting pair of pants. however, for the price, I'm a little thrown off by how sloppy some of the stitch work is, especially at the hem. anyone else notice this?

I mean measured around where I actually wear my pants, which is typically low-rise. Anyway, I wear a 30 in all things Epaulet, 28 in APC denim (sized down from 30), anywhere from 29-30 in different unsanforized denims. Typically a 29 in Wings + Horns which is always vanity sized. When I measure my waist around the area my pants sit I'm a 30.

Anyway, whatever...everyone fits differently. If you can, try them on. If you can't, I say size down 1 from what you feel the true measurement is of where your pants sit. But, some others say TTS. We have these arguments in almost every clothing thread.

Since true to size is a term that is hard to define, I'll just leave it at I wear mine a size down from my Epaulet trousers, and a size up from APC petit standards.

so i just got a pair of the gio skinnys and got to say they're true to size...I wouldn't size up on em just because they are "skinnys".
