Hello everyone,

My name is Mauro Farinelli. I’ve been an active member on Style Forum for about ten years. Most of the time, I have been on Street wear & Denim side. With great pleasure, I’d like to introduce Wolf vs Goat to the MC side.

Wolf vs Goat offers a variety of contemporary clothing as well as tailored clothing. We work with some of the best factories in Italy and the United States. We also choose to work with the leading textile manufactures in the Italy , Switzerland, Japan, and the U.K.. We embrace tradition but also accept modern technology.

We use a myriad of high quality shirting fabrics from David and John Anderson to Albiate. Our yarn selections run from Cariaggi to Zegna Baruffa and our suiting fabrics from Botto Giuseppe to Scabal.

We recently added ties and pocket squares to the collection with 5, 7, 9 and 11 fold ties. Each tie is hand folded, hand rolled and hand sewn in Italy. Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what we make. The silk is woven in Como and we use some of the best mills available to us, such as Ratti Canepa Dambrosio.

Happy to have you on the CM side. The more WvG threads to follow, the more awesome pictures to see.

I've only recently been following WvG, but I can see why so many people love the brand. Mauro really puts a lot of attention and detail into his clothing, which gives it the best value per dollar out there. I'm eagerly waiting for the release of the new dress shirts. If the details are like any of the other WvG shirts, they'll be a staple in my workweek rotation.

Mauro, is there an estimate on when the new dress shirts will be ready to order on the site? I know you've said you are waiting for pictures to come in.

Welcome to the other side!

Thank you so much. I am taking the shirts to the Photographer today. We are changing the website around. We will soon being offering flats and model shoots. Hopefully, I will get everything in by the end of the week but I can't promise.
I also have the knit blazers, pocket squares, and more ties arriving. I like themes so the ties will follow suit. Each month there will be a different capsule offered.

Glad to see Mauro posting over here - I think there'll be a good amount of appreciation of WvG from the MC folks. The quality/price ratio are pretty hard to beat, particularly when combined with the customer service/pre-order/m2m options. Not everyone is an Internet Big Timer and WvG gives a good amount of options for well made clothing that is fitting in the office or on the weekends - love the versatility.

Best of luck with the new customer base...will be interested to see the feedback that comes from people over here as opposed to SWD. Likely there are different bases of reference, so it should make for very interesting discussion, particularly as MC tends to be more knowledgeable in general regarding construction/fabrics/etc.

Thank you, sir.

We are really pulling out the stops for the next two seasons. I think the MC will warm up to the whimsically side of WvG and appreciate the fabrics and handwork that goes into WvG.
I mean how can anyone not like this print for ties

It's a 70% wool 30% cotton blend from Maglifico Maggia. It's comfy!

Let me just say that WvG is responsible for the most well made trousers I own.

Thank you. I have a lot more coming out. Fall'15 and Spring'16 won't disappoint.

I guess Fok said it best in the intro for the SW&D thread. I am a "clothing nerd". I love researching fabrics and construction. I enjoy even more spending time with master tailors, spinners, weavers, dyers, and other artisans. I really get a lot from going to mill to mill , tailor to tailor, seamstress to seamstress. I am not sure if a lot of designers do this but I visit every single factory and mill I work with.
This summer before Milano Unica I will go up north and visit all the fabric mills I am currently using as well some new ones. It will be a long but exciting trip.

I am under the assumption that the MC side revolves solely around classic menswear. If that's true and anyone has questions regarding knitwear, denim, sportier looks in general feel free to ask me.
If you have any tailored questions that the key figures here can't answer I will do my best to help out.

Best,

Mauro

Correct.
Each season I have a theme. In that theme there are sub-themes. For example animals and plants are on deck. Here are a few pictures of the prints being offered.

Here a couple pics taken by me with my iphone. The polo's will go the photographer this weekend. The polo's were made in Italy by one of my favorite factories.
Here is a short video about the yarn used-

Fabric sounds very technical. As a chemical engineer, the material science information was interesting to hear. Any plans on other uses for the yarn? The video made it sound like underwear might be nice.

Underwear is next. We have tees stuck in customs as we speak. Hopefully they will arrive Monday.
