Colon Cleansing - Page 5

I'm under the impression that digestive tract bacteria are normal and required. Irregularity caused by low fiber in the diet is helped by a bit of Metamucil or maybe some yogurt and fruit.

A healthy person has no reason to flush the bowel - and maybe a few reasons not to.

^^^ I think people run the cleanses because they hear that feces get backed up inside your intestines and sticks to the walls of it. A regular poop won't get it out. Not sure how true this is though as I haven't seen any scientific evidence backing up either side.

this is actually a practical joke professors made us do in physiology lab. in medschool

we broke the class up into 10 groups and one from each group had to consume a liter of normal saline solution in less than 5min.

i was one who drank the liter of normal saline and within 10min i shat. everyone else that drank the liter had to shit too. only one girl who was embarrassed didn't shit and started crying when she found out everyone else shat because she painfully held in her shit for the whole 4 hour lab.

A primarily non-processed food diet should eliminate (ahem) the formation of pods and added fiber should clean out any. But, hey - I may be talking out my ass.

Probably a weird thread to resurrect, but I only saw one person in it admit to having done (if that's the verb) colonics. I'm seriously considering it if nothing more than to feel really relaxed.
