How many people here take working out into consideration as much as the clothes they wear?

Personally, I think physique should come before the wardrobe. After all, that's what you put your clothes on top of. Discuss

I do but the wardrobe can help bring out the physique. The physique isn't so attractive in giant shirts and jeans

The ideal physique for both males and females have changed dramatically over the years. Even today, the preferred physique varies from person to person---from ghetto booties and muscular meatheads to tall and thin models and slim indie kids.

Being smart never goes out of style, having a good personality never goes out of style, being tall and lean and good looking never goes out of style, having money never goes out of style, etc. All things that are related to style.

Most of the people I know who are obsessed with health and exercise have poor or no taste. What does the best body in the world do for you if you have bad style? You need both, but the greatest body in the world can't be made up for with bad clothes, whereas a less than ideal body can be made to look good with the right clothes, which is what style/fashion is often about, 'cause not everyone has supermodel proportions.

In other words, there's less margin for error with style 'cause it can't be fudged or fibbed without being noticed.

1. Style
2. Smarts
3. Matters of body

I agree, body first. There's nothing worse then seeing a guy wearing a tight t-shirt with a pouch on his stomach. My brother and his friends nicknamed it 'gay belly'. Of course there's to skinny to, like alot of the skinny jean/emo kids I see around. Sickly kids.

Body types all differ but I think what is most important is simply living a healthy lifestyle. If you take care of your health, a good physique will follow.

Unless you only wear skin tight clothes or tank tops or shorts, how would having a good body acentuate your wardrobe?

People can see if you have some muscle tone and are relatively fit even if you are not wearing particularly fitted clothing. Physical fitness even shows in the face. I find that guys who don't work out or otherwise live an active lifestyle tend to develop a puffiness or sallowness, especially around the face, even if they are not particularly fat or thin.

Anyway, hasn't this topic been done to death enough times already?

Because clothes look better on a classically attractive frame, i.e. broad shoulders and a slim waist for men. There is a reason models are very attractive people with ideal body types.

What the models do is have broad shoulders and nice chest and nice arms. Their legs cans still be spindly and back poor.

But if someone has an actual bodybuilder physique as in thick and broad shoulders, gorilla like trapezius, barrel chest, super thick and wide lats, arms like guns, super thin waist and tree trunk legs, what should he wear then?

Having a "great body" doesn't necessarily mean having a bodybuilder physique. In fact, I think a lot of guys who get into bodybuilding develop a really warped sense of what the "ideal" body should look like. Not to mention that there are plenty of different "ideals" all competing. Some bodybuilders, of course, really don't care what other people think, and are doing it for the competition, the challenge, etc, which is entirely different.

I think it's very hard to dress a bodybuilder physique well, but are we really going to pretend that a fat guy in a nice suit looks as good as a fit guy in a nice suit, whether the fit guy is model thin, bodybuilder huge, or somewhere in between? Let's be honest with ourselves, here.

It sucks. Even though i eat relatively well and play a lot of sports, i luckily inherited the chubby cheeks of my dad's side of the family. I always look like i'm 3-4 years younger than i am.

You don't even know how hard it is to attain this type of body through training, juiced or not. By the time you get there, you'd probably be old enough to not give a damn about clothes.
