if nagrani would start making basic socks like:
Yes yes yes, enough about style/fashion and back to the socks, which are fantastic. I for one think that both basic and more elaborate socks belong in a man's wardrobe.
Sorry if I asked this before, any of them a bit thicker or are they all thinner dress socks?
I'd call them medium thickness for dress socks, probably a bit on the thicker side compared to my cotton pantherellas or most of the cheaper dress socks I've picked up at Ross or wherever. They're certainly not boot-sock thick, but they feel sufficiently solid (maybe they're woven tighter or something, I know nothing of sock construction) that they definitely feel thicker than some of my thinner dress socks. I have also found that those with a diamond or check pattern tend to be a touch thicker, because the pattern is actually woven in with extra thread/yarn.
These are fantastic socks, and Chorse1 is a great seller. Be warned though, if you're tall, over the calf is a bloody lie. Pulled all the way up these go halfway up my calf. Love them though.
Damn, really? I know I have short legs, but if I really tug 'em I can get them halfway over my kneecaps.
I'm around 6'2" with a long torso. when I tug them all the way up, they go to roughly 4" below the bend in the back of my knee. But it's a bit of work, I've got big calves from bicycle commuting. Pretty socks though, and it's not like it matters. I don't wear them with knickers (much).
