Want to Trade EG/RLPL Mackay Ches. Ant. 9/9.5

want to trade a brand new pair of EG/RLPL Mackay chesnut antique in 9 UK/9.5 US on the 888 last for either a pair of Grant monkstraps in dark oak (same size) or Mackay captoes in dark oak (same size). These are lovely shoes but too close in color to my Bentons. I really need a pair in Dark Oak. I bought these during the friends & family sale for $680 shipped (retail 950). Obviously, new in box is preferable, but I'd be willing to trade for used/gently worn + cash as well. Also, you would like to sell your dark oak grants or mackays without a trade, that is fine too. will open up the floor to McKay/Grant in burnt pine and Vass U last and Barker Black trades as well Thanks. can i ask if these are 9/9.5 D or 9/9.5 E?

i am very interested in seeing photos! i love the mackay and although chestnut would not be my first choice in this style, i would be interested in seeing how lovely these are.
thanks

these are labeled 9/9.5 US D. They are really lovely, but they are too close to my Bentons in burnished tan (basically a shade or 2 darker). My wife saw these and immediately said don't you have this already have this shoe? I love how these look and fit though. I also love the Grant, perhaps even more so and am looking for either in dark oak. i will try to take pictures tomorrow for you shoe.

satort, thanks for the info. unfortunately i am a 9/9.5 E in 888 82.
i was hoping it was that.
unless you want to take photos for others, i dont need them now, although it would still be cool to see them.

650 is a very interesting price for alot of persons here interested in EG.

i hope you can get your grants!

My friend got these Dark Oak Asquiths during the EG sale on a business trip. He still hasn't had the balls to put them on pavement. They kick ass in any color.

those asquiths are sweet as well as mackays.

tell your friend ( i understand what he goes through) that he can break in that feeling of not wanting to unpristine them by:

take them to work at first the first few weeks, in a shoebox and then change shoes in your office . wear them in the office carpet only.
change and bring them back to home. or leave them at office.

do this for the first few weeks, and later ,after his mind is over the "new car joy" sense , he can start wearing them on the street.

Haha thats funny, I will tell him.

Oh the reason I posted them is because I thought asquith/mackay were the same shoe? Now that I look, the medallion looks different though. Are they different otherwise?
oh yes, they are the same shoe. check the back of the shoes , there should be no heel counter.

My McKays have a different medallion but are otherwise identical, as far as I can tell.

satort, those are very sweet.

this is the shoe to have if you dont have any EGs as of yet. this , Grant, or the dover.

this is a wonderful shoe

My friend who got the Asquiths has no other notable shoes whatsoever. He has a pair of black bostonian bicycle toes and some clarks orthopedic looking casual shoes. and horrible sneakers. No other dress shoes. and then he got these EGs

yeah i really like them, but they are so close to my c&j/polo bentons that i'd rather get them in dark oak or the grant in dark oak (i have the grant in black). i will post a comparison pick tonight of these and the bentons.

Saturday bump. I am desperate to get these in dark oak people. Unfortunately RL doesn't carry dark oak anymore. I will probably return these this week if no one bites.

To any interested parties: I will also straight out buy them off you if you are looking to sell instead of trade.
