This thread is for discussing black denim.
I just picked up a pair of United Stock Dry Goods black jeans in their narrow fit (slim-straight). Super light weight 9 oz selvedge denim, black warp and weft, black stitching, black hardware. They seem pretty decent for the price (~$160) and I like the minimal design. They come in charcoal too, which is tempting.
I also have a pair of 3sixteen ST-220X which seem to be a step up in quality from United Stock. A step up in price as well ($240). Of course, the denim is heavier but they seem sturdier and better finished all around. Design is nice and minimal too. I'm not crazy about the way they fade though - they end up looking sort of dirty.
A.P.C. offer black raw (black warp/white weft) and black selvedge (solid black) jeans that are good mid-range options as well.
I know many of the cult Japanese brands make black jeans but I don't have any experience with those.
What else is good?
